Vigilante Episode 5 Preview: When, Where and How to Watch!

Vigilante Episode 5 Preview: To fill in for denied justice, Nam Joo-hyuk’s Ji-yong leads the new action-thriller South Korean series (비질란테), which is a live-action adaptation of Kim Gyu-sam’s Naver webtoon of the same name. Directed by Choi Jeong-yeol, the K-drama series has been created by Moon Yoo-seok and written for screen by Lee Min-seop. The first two episodes of the show premiered on November 8, 2023, which has now led us straight to the upcoming events of Episode 5 next.

Studio N’s K-drama production marks Joo-hyuk’s return to the small screen following his 2022 K-drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One with Kim Tae-ri. The new series looks at him switching roles in the night and assuming the titular responsibility as a vigilante out to serve justice by taking matters into his hands, even if it means taking the bloody route.

Vigilante Kdrama Plot

By day, Kim Ji-yong is the perfect model police academy student, but as soon as the night falls, he switches roles and takes over as a dark hero created by society. Taking matters into his hands, he serves justice in his own way, by directly dealing with criminals who’ve otherwise been let off easy by the system. Ji-yong’s actions find their inspiration in the unjust ruling that let off his mother’s killer without any severe consequences 12 years ago.

Vigilante Cast

The main cast of the show includes Nam Joo-hyuk as Kim Ji-yong, Yoo Ji-tae as Jo Heon, Lee Joon-hyuk as Cho Kang-ok, Kim So-jin as Choi Mi-ryeo, Lee Seung-woo as Min Seon-wook, Kwon Hae-hyo as Professor Lee Jun-yeop and others.

Vigilante Episode 4 Recap

A fake Vigilante claiming to be Ji-yong’s “fan” wants to join forces with him so that they can cover more ground, but Ji-yong starts questioning his ways and lack of moral guidelines. On the other hand, Jo Heon closes in on the real Vigilante.

Vigilante Episode 5 Predictions

Jo Heon has sworn to make the public forget the Vigilante, and Episode 4 ending again spells out his vehement opposition of the dark hero, so much so that he’s even willing to frame a fake candidate to be able to present him as a worthless man with no sense of righteousness whatsoever. Now that he has already warned Ji-yong to watch out while he still can, his next steps will determine his strategy to deal with the situation.

While the answer is right in front of him, he doesn’t actually have any proof backing the truth, and with Kang-ok also joining the ranks with his idol, at least Ji-yong has someone to fall back on, but again, for how long? With Ms Choi onto him, one can expect some dirt to be dug up against his name too. On the other hand, Seon-wook’s meaningful yet furtive gazes at Ji-yong definitely signify something, but what? Has he known Ji-yong’s secret all along? We find out more, next week.

The next two Vigilante episodes will be exclusively released on Disney+ Hotstar on Wednesday.
