Doctor X: Mafia in White episode 10 runtime is approx. 60 minutes. The series (닥터X: 하얀 마피아의 시대) stars Kim Ji-won, Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Woo-seok and Lee Jin-hee in the main roles. It is directed by Lee Jung-rim.

A Team That Chooses Its Patient
We see that the surgery has ended successfully, and we see how wonderful Su-jeong is in her expertise and empathy. She always stands by her patients. Hee-seok joins Su-jeong in the operating room along with Dr Do, Tae-kyeong, Won-jin and Seong-jin. All of them collectively wrap up the surgery, and it is stellar to watch.
Director Boo later decides to refuse the strike vote. He argues that GUMC has no better doctor than Su-jeong to save Hyeon-a. This statement angers the Magnolia Society, and they start their threats. But Seong-gyu argues that if they all go into the operating room for the strike, the child’s life will be in grave danger as her organs are exposed during the surgery. Boo cuts the audio intervention and just keeps the CCTV on. Watching the surgery procedure, the society’s anger settles as they see how the crew saves the child’s life.

The Surgery and Its Emotional Payoff
After carefully removing the cancerous growth, the team places Hyeon-a’s organs back into her. Everyone watches and wishes the organs turn pink, and it indeed does. Su-jeong finishes the final stitches, and the operation is successful. Seong-jin tears up, and the team embrace the gratitude of saving a life.
Su-jeong takes Hee-seok’s hands and places them on Hyeon-a’s chest to make her feel the heartbeat. Later at the team dinner, when Dr Do and Dr Bae sit stiffly because they clearly are jealous, Dr Boo eases the tension by complimenting them.

Friendship, Guilt and Consequences
Hee-seok later tells Tae-kyeong that Su-jeong is the daughter of her bestfriend and how they all treated each other as family. Tae-kyeong also adds that he was adopted and that making sure Hyeon-a is saved makes him feel happy and proud. On the other hand, Dr Seong-gyu feels miserable for not doing anything with the operation. After learning that Hyeon-a is safe, he breaks down in tears, and guilt covers him.
Apart from this, Su-jeong faces the most heat. Magnolia Society decides on suspensions and disciplinary actions regarding Su-jeong’s freelance contract. They threaten that if Hyeon-a doesn’t recover, Su-jeong will face harsh consequences and that Tae-kyeong and Won-jin who assisted her will also get the punishment.

Regardless, Hyeon-a’s mother threatens that legal action will be taken against GUMC and Guseo Foundation for hiring a doctor who operated without IRB approval. This panics the board, and they withhold their warnings about Su-jeong. Su-jeong thanks the mother for her action, and the latter thanks Su-jeong for saving Hyeon-a’s life.
Wrapping Up: A Cliffhanger
The ending of the episode leaves us with a new mystery. Posters of Guseo’s founding director Gu Yeo-rim and White Wings founder Kim Seung-hyo perplex Tae-kyeong and Won-jin. When Dr Bae reveals Seung-hyo is arriving from the US for a heart transplant, Hee-sook is shocked. Seung-hyo insists on GUMC because his guardian, Won-jin, and primary surgeon, Su-jeong, are there.

We then see in the epilogue the pillow-smothering attempt, which is watched by Won-jin and interrupted by Su-jeong. Then we see Seung-hyo gripping Su-jeong’s hand and calling her “Doctor X”. This finally leaves the episode on an intriguing note, proving that Su-jeong is the real Doctor X.
