Tomo-chan Is a Girl Episode 12 Review and Recap – Feelings Are Out

Another hilarious episode of Tomo-chan Is a Girl! is here, and we are back again with its review. This episode starts with the day of the cultural festival where the mother of Tomo, Misuzu, and Carol have gathered together to witness their daughters acting in the production of Cinderella. Misuzu is going to be Cinderella, Carol will be the evil stepmother, and Tomo will be Prince Charming.
The play starts, and everyone performs pretty well, showcasing a wholesome depiction of Cinderella where the evil stepmother and the stepsisters join in on the celebration of Cinderella’s happiness with the Prince.
After the play, Tomo and Jun go around the school festival, enjoying each other’s company and experiencing all the fun activities other students have prepared.
Later they head towards the campfire, around which the students dance with their significant other or friends. Jun bravely asks Tomo to dance and even confesses his feelings indirectly. Tomo, being confused, happy, and overwhelmed, runs away from that place without saying anything back, and this whole scene is witnessed by Misuzu and Carol from afar.

The next day Tomo meets with Jun and pretends that nothing has transpired, and the moment Jun reminds her of the day he confessed, she runs away. Back in school, Misuzu confronts Tomo about this ordeal, and Misuzu tearfully accepts that it is her fault that Tomo thinks she is not good enough.
She thinks that because of her half-hearted and scheming ideas, she might have hindered her friend’s love life. After listening to this, Tomo assures Misuzu that that is not the case, and she gets the confidence to face her feelings as well as Jun.
She then goes to talk to Jun and pours her heart out to him. When she asks what kind of relationship he expects this to be, Jun clearly states that he just wants Tomo to be herself and them to be how they used to be. He wants to be her friend, as well as a lover who will love her not as a buddy but as a girl.
Verdict
This episode definitely turned out great as Jun and Tomo are finally together and know about each other’s feelings. They are not second-guessing the other anymore and will finally be able to go out with their head held high. Hopefully, no new problems will come their way.
