The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 8 Review: Love Triangle

Dear Miss Belly is as confused as ever in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 8. We think she has gotten herself into a pickle because she has finally made a choice, which honestly all of us know that she is not going to be happy with ultimately.

In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 8, Conrad is defensive and offensive together after witnessing the Belly-Jeremiah kiss. As sultry and passionate as the kiss was, Conrad was on his way to letting Belly know his true feelings, so everything is amiss post that. On their drive back from Brown, the three get stuck due to a storm and end up sharing a single motel room which gives rise to more tension in the trio.

Belly makes her pick very early on in the episode but, even with the ending the feeling of this is not what she has always wanted sticks with us. As Belly makes her confusing journey amongst the brothers, the other storylines also progress in a foot that gives us hope for future exploration.

Laurel gets her grief processed and, yes, Cleveland plays a part in that. We also have Steven and Taylor’s relationship progressing. There is a minor hick-up but, the fan-favourite couple seems like there are here to stay.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 8: Final Verdict

God, oh, god- what an episode, right? Getting the elephant out of the way now that it is the season finale: Belly has been one helluva red flag this season and the ending reinforces it. Her choices are so situational that everyone can see that she is making an error except Belly herself. It truly feels like giving Belly the main storyline is a waste of time. Thank god we had a Jeremiah to balance things out.

The finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 felt less like a chapter closing and more like another chapter beginning. At this point, fans should be screaming for season three because we sure are.
