– The Interest of Love Episode 7 Recap Contains Spoilers –
The Interest of Love episode 7 starts with Mi-gyeong and Sang-su enjoying their newfound romance. Meanwhile, Jong-hyeon asks Su-yeong to break up with him, leaving her confused and looking for answers. He tells her that it’s about his test and studies and refuses to engage with her further on the subject.
The sudden breakup leaves Su-yeong heartbroken and alone once more.

The next morning, new branch manager Tae-pyung decides to go on a hike together with the entire branch on Sunday at Cheonggyesan Mountain. Most of the branch refuses to participate, but Sang-su, Su-yeong and Mi-gyeong are up for the challenge.
Later on, Sang-su asks Su-yeong whether they should get going to Yeongjin Products. She has forgotten about the event completely and rushes to get ready for the event. The time spent is awkward, and Su-yeong is clearly distracted, which Sang-su doesn’t fail to notice.
Either way, Mi-gyeong makes lunch plans with Sang-su and also gets Su-yeong and Gyeong-pil to join them. The lunch plan at Su-yeong’s parents’ place is awkward and plain hostile as Sang-su pines for Su-yeong, Mi-gyeong pines for Sang-su, and Gyeong-pil just sits there seeing the oddity taking place in front of him.
That night, a distraught Su-yeong asks Jong-hyeon to talk to her, and her bus stops right beside Sang-su and Mi-gyeong’s car, where they discuss their evening plans. They briefly exchange looks, and it feels like their heart flutters a bit for that brief second until they go their separate ways.

Sang-su and Mi-gyeong go camping, and she wholeheartedly flirts with her boyfriend, who also enjoys the attention. Meanwhile, Su-yeong goes to meet Jong-hyeon and is left shocked, seeing that he is packing his stuff. She is enraged at his attitude and demands to know where he is going and starts to ask whether she isn’t enough for him.
After a while, he finally tells her that he is moving because after his father collapsed, he was more worried about paying the hospital bill. Although he doesn’t have any plans, he still will be going forward with the move to get his life back on track. After hearing everything, Su-yeong asks him to think over everything until his leave is over before quitting his job.
The next day, as Mi-gyeong and Sang-su enjoy the honeymoon period of their relationship, Jong-hyeon arrives at the bank to quit and search for other jobs. Su-yeong implores him to think things through and not quit, but he is determined not to work as a security guard anymore. She further asks him why he is giving up on the relationship, and he tearfully tells her that he is breaking up because, essentially, she deserves someone better than him.

He tearfully asks her what he is supposed to do other than this, and she asks him to tell her to wait for him and not leave so easily. Unfortunately, Jong-hyeon has made up his mind and refuses to budge on the matter. That night, as he leaves, Su-yeong sits outside his empty apartment and finds his bank slip. The last balance on it tells her that Jong-hyeon’s tough situation isn’t something that she can handle at the moment and this, probably, is for the best.
As Sunday rolls around, the three of them drive together for their scheduled hike. As they stop at a traffic signal, she sees a police officer and remembers Jong-hyeon’s words of encouragement and hope, and at that moment, she hops out of the car and runs off, leaving Sang-su and Mi-gyeong confused.
Su-yeong runs off to Jong-hyeon’s family home to meet him and talks to his mother, from whom she realises that he has lied to them about where he got the money for his father’s surgery. When she finds him working at a car shop, she doesn’t say anything other than the fact that she’s hungry. Sang-su and Mi-gyeong, meanwhile, enjoy a nice day hiking and eventually get caught kissing.
As everyone congratulates them, Jong-hyeon and Su-yeong spend the day having some tough conversations. He looks absolutely heartbroken at the turn of events, and Su-yeong tries to get him out of his rut and help him dream again using his own advice for her. She agrees to hold his hand while he tries to reach the zero point and asks him to stay with her, work at the bank and try giving the police exam again.

With this proposal, Su-yeong leaves him with the option of meeting her at the bus station, telling him that if he doesn’t show up, they will break up as he requested.
That evening, Su-yeong waits for Jong-hyeon at the bus terminal and just when she is about to give up hope of him coming with her, Jong-hyeon rushes to the terminal. However, he is just a little short of catching the bus and just when he is about to give up hope, Su-yeong comes out from around the corner for him.
On the other hand, Mi-gyeong invites Sang-su to her apartment. As Jong-hyeon and Su-yeong hug it out, Sang-su is left to make an interesting decision!
The Interest of Love Episode 7 Review

I am just so invested in the Jong-hyeon and Su-yeong storyline, and I feel like the series has some really emotional and deep moments, thanks to them. I don’t know what the future holds for the couple, but man, do they drop some truth bombs and have some seriously intense and heartwarming moments between them.
The fact that they understand each other to the core is something always heartening to watch. No one has to describe what they are going through or feeling; it is understood because somewhere or the other, the other person is going through something similar. It’s great.
Meanwhile, the other couple isn’t looking too healthy guys – Sang-su is definitely not in this relationship as much as Mi-gyeong. The latter, meanwhile, I can’t help but be sus about. Her cold relationship with Gyeong-pil raises red flags in my head. She’s too nice; there’s something wrong here. I can’t put my finger on it because there’s just something wrong.
Either way, I am thoroughly enjoying these intense relationships and feelings – the series has really picked up from its first few episodes. The Interest of Love episode 7 shines for Jong-hyeon’s perils and feelings because he’s going through a difficult time, and interesting to watch Su-yeong helping him out.
The Interest of Love is streaming on Netflix.

Abs
I agree with you. By honeymoon period, I meant that this is the early days of their relationship, not that he is happy or comfortable. I don’t trust Mi-gyeong one bit.
