The Impossible Heir Plot Overview
In this revenge drama, Kang In-ha is the illegitimate son of Kangoh Group who has been brought up in poverty in a single-parent household. However, when he suddenly learns of his true parentage, he quickly comes up with a plan to take what is rightly his and rise to the ranks in the Kangoh Group to take over the conglomerate. In the process, he recruits his childhood friend Han Tae-oh, a cold-hearted man whose father is a murderer.
They begin their plan as they meticulously place themselves in the corporation and front of the Kangho family. With Tae-oh’s brilliant mind and In-ha’s connection to one of the richest companies in the country, these two set out to reach to the top. However, his plan finds a hiccup when he meets Na Hye-won, a woman who has also seen abject poverty in her life as well and has similar dreams to him – to take over Kangoh Group for herself.
Facing an unknown and unmovable challenge on their path to financial stability and power, In-ha and Tae-ho have to fight tooth and nail to realise their dreams. But, on the way, they also find themselves doubting each other as many of their secrets come to light.

The Impossible Heir Episodes 7 and 8 Preview

With the shocking ending of Episode 6, the viewers are left wondering, what could be happening in the next episodes? Will we get to see Tae-ho come out of this situation scot-free or will he have to let go of his dreams? Will In-ah and Hye-won support him or will they throw him to the wolves?
As seen in the previous episodes, a lot has happened. Kang In-ah has become closer to his father, leading him to become like him and his brothers when it comes to treating someone outside the ‘Kangoh’ bloodline. Overnight, he becomes the typical chaebol son and begins thinking only about his company and his legacy. While Hye-won feels a little out of place in the beginning with her dreams on the line, she decides to go along with the family.
Tae-oh turns out to be the only one who feels out of place when the people around him start treating him differently. After being attacked, he went on a rampage, only to be stopped by a shocking incident at the end. With so many issues, will In-ah, Tae-oh and Hye-won achieve their dreams?

Episode 5 shows In-ah taking on a big step as the third son of the Kangoh group, shocking the world with the news. However, he becomes of use as he helps his father in getting out of a sticky situation. Seeing him take such measures, the Chairman became happy with him and ended up promoting both him and Tae-oh.
However, after a negotiation session that In-ah won through deceit and manipulation, the Chairman berates both of them for not understanding the severity of the situation. The two friends become tense with each other and the episode ends with a cloaked stranger attacking Tae-oh, leaving him unconscious.
Episode 6 continues from the attack scene and here we witness the change in In-ah. To protect Kangoh, the Chairman and his identity, In-ah makes sure that there is no investigation into the situation- which was not acceptable for either Tae-oh or Hye-won. As soon as he woke up, Tae-oh employed the North Korean hacker to find his attacker and once he found him (Kang In-ju’s assistant), he became unstoppable.
On the other hand, Hye-won agrees to marry In-ha and even meets his family but her heart remains with Tae-oh. During a heated argument, Hye-won and Tae-oh ended up kissing, which was captured by In-ju’s assistant. Hye-won and In-ah still end up getting married, and she gets blackmailed by In-ju.
The episode ends with a shocking twist. Tae-oh wakes up in a hotel room the next day but he doesn’t realise that he is covered in blood and has an ice pick in his hand. Shocked at his state, he turns around and finds Kang In-ju and his wife dead next to him with the ice pick marks on them. He remains shell-shocked at the situation in front of him.
