The Idol Episode 5 Ending Explained
The Idol Episode 5 somewhat ends up in Jocelyn’s favour. She asks Chaim to take care of Tedros, who, throughout the episode, has been nothing but, a mess. This reaction was triggered after she got to know that the news headlines are suggesting Rob (her ex-boyfriend and the man she had sex with in the last episode) has allegedly raped someone. When she looks at the news article, the girl in the picture is none other than Sophie (someone from Tedros’ team). It really pushes her off the edge, and Chiam does what is needed. He goes a step further and gives Talia Tedros’ full story, which works as an expose ruining him in every way.

Jocelyn also makes sure that Nikki puts the deal she signed with Dyanne under the table, and, a heartbroken Dyanne just knows it is Jocelyn who is breaking her dreams. Amidst all this, Jocelyn loses Leia as a friend and personal assistant. We see Leia leave Jocelyn’s house right after Xander fakely insinuates that Jocelyn knows about Rob’s news and, also after she witnesses Jocelyn unbothered by the news as she continues to perform for Andrew Finklestein to save her tour.
The show shows a six-week jump from the aforementioned events. We see Jocelyn getting ready for her tour. All tickets are sold out and, Andrew, Nikki and Chiam are having a good laugh about Tedros’ ruin and beaming at how far Jocelyn has come. Izzak, Chloe, Ramsey and Xander are seen with Jocelyn. In fact, they are Jocelyn’s opening act for the tour.
But it is not long before we see Tedros again. He picks up an artist’s pass for Jocelyn’s show (happening in LA) under his original name Mauricio Jackson. He is visiting Jocelyn six weeks later after Talia’s article has destroyed him in every sense. Before he meets Jocelyn, he goes through Destiny, who tells him that she will hunt him down like a dog if he hurts Jocelyn.
Finally, we see our idol in white as she welcomes Tedros, appreciating the fact that she has come this far because of him. As Jocelyn’s getting ready for her first performance, Tedros finds the hairbrush that Jocelyn had mentioned her mother used to beat her with. He touches it, and it is brand new. When he puts all of these thoughts into a statement, all Jocelyn does is smile at him.
Soon enough, it is time for Jocelyn to be on stage. She welcomes her audience by saying ‘Hello, Angels’ and, calling them her family- something that Tedros used to do. She introduces Tedros to the whole world on stage by letting them know that he is the love of her life and that he pulled her out of her darkest times. Chiam, Andrew and Nikki in their VIP rows are shocked, whereas Tedros’ team members rejoice.
Jocelyn then kisses Tedros on stage. She removes her mike and tells him that she wants to be with him forever and that he is hers. She asks him to stand in the corner and watch as she performs, hinting towards the fact that Jocelyn destroyed Tedros’ life and called him back into hers to keep him in a way from where he can go nowhere else (because with everything ruined, he has nowhere else to go but, be with Jocelyn).
