The 100 Girlfriends Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

Right from the start, it seems like Rentaro might meet his 10th girlfriend in this episode. However, that’s not the case, as today marks the long-anticipated group karaoke date with all of his girlfriends. Everyone gets a chance to take the mic and sing their hearts out, enjoying the moment, except for one person. Shizuka, known for her extreme shyness, struggles to join in, as she has never sung in front of others before.

When she finally gathers the courage to perform, the outcome is unexpectedly overwhelming. It’s not that she sings poorly, on the contrary, her voice is so irresistibly adorable that it leaves everyone in a state of shock. Aijo and Hahari are quite literally blown away, while the rest struggle to keep their footing. Ultimately, Reijo steps in to bring things back under control.

In the second half of the episode, Rentaro finally meets his 10th girlfriend. Mimimi, a stunning narcissist, takes great pride in her beauty, but it’s not just vanity. She works incredibly hard to maintain her level of perfection. However, their date is far from smooth, leading to an unexpected twist. As it turns out, Mimimi has an unexpected rivalry with Nano.

We are finally finding out what happened between Mimimi and Nano. Apparently, they both were in the same middle school beauty contest where Nano wins and Mimimi fails. Even then, she wanted to become friends with Nano, but Nano coldly rejected her. Since that moment, Mimimi has harboured resentment towards Nano, and now she wants to disqualify her from the Rentaro family. The way she plans to do it is via a competition, which is as ridiculous as the plot of the show.

Both of them must say one attribute that makes the other girlfriends of Aijou special, and whoever gets it right will win a point. Things become very competitive, and in the last round, they must complement Aijou. However, as AIjou does not want anyone to be kicked out from his family of girlfriends, he busts the chance of anyone winning with his crazy acts. He manages to make the entire thing a draw, even when he has to lose his hair for it.

Thankfully, all these get resolved, and we get Mimimi as the 10th girlfriend. Right away, Mimimi is welcomed, and everyone accepts her for who she is. She also quickly becomes their resident beautician. But weirdly, one thing leads to another, and we get to see all the girlfriends suddenly kissing Aijou with aphrodisiac applied to their lips.

I must also mention the constant and frequent anime references that we get here throughout this episode were the cherry on top.

This episode was hilarious in the first part and lewd in the second part. The part section where Aijou suddenly starts speaking English while calling the bets was very funny. Even the part where Meido uses her English was laughter galore. But yes, the last portion was definitely uncalled for.
