System Ending Explained
How are All the Cases Connected?
For most of the runtime, Neha can’t help but wonder how the different cases that she has been winning seem to be connected, although she doesn’t pay much attention to the fact. Sarika’s expertise also comes into the picture as she guides Neha through them. However, in a shocking twist, while investigating Vikram Bajral’s case, she suddenly realises that all of the people that she has put behind bars are connected to the Twisted Hookah Bar fire.

Sarika had selected these cases for Neha, hoping to use her to put everyone behind bars while also giving Ravi Rajvansh a taste of his own medicine. It was the perfect way to get revenge, but Sarika never expected to become close to Neha on the course of getting justice. Either way, Neha’s prosecutions weren’t just her own wins, but a carefully orchestrated situation of Sarika’s doing.
What Happened During the Twisted Hookah Bar Fire?
The fire becomes the most important and thematic centre of the film. It comes out that Sarika’s brother Kamath and her husband Laxman both worked at the bar where, on a particular night, a fire broke out. Although Kamath had warned the owners, including Vikram, that several illegal constructions would be lethal if a fire broke out, no one listened to him.

In a twist of fate, thus, when the fire did break out, several people were trapped. Thankfully, Kamath and Laxman got most of the diners out, although Laxman was caught in a terrible accident during evacuation. The most heartbreaking part, though, was that, to blame someone else, Kamath was used as a scapegoat, and he eventually took his life, realising that there is no way out of this mess. Neha’s father, Ravi, was a part of the scheme and orchestrated this entire blame game, and Sarika, realising that their lack of financial stability would deter them from getting justice, took matters into her own hands.
Did Sarika Orchestrate Everything? Who Killed Inaaya?
Yes, Sarika orchestrated everything, going so far as to get not just Inspector Rathi under her thumb, but also Adv. Mukesh Ahlawat. She used everything in her power to see justice being served, so far as to killing Inaaya and putting the blame on Vikram. Sarika knew that Vikram had bought out Inaaya, and her testimony landed Kamath in prison. Filled with rage and betrayal, she made the ultimate sacrifice to finally see her brother’s murderers behind bars.

However, despite manipulating Neha from the start, she genuinely had a soft corner for her and had become her friend. But her passion for revenge far outweighed everything else that she could’ve felt.
Did Neha Send the Guilty to Prison?
Unbeknownst to Sarika, Neha had recorded her confession and was ready to put her behind bars. However, when she realised that Ravi had no guilt for his hand in putting an innocent man behind bars, she realised that justice is only a farce and is for those who can afford a good lawyer. As a result, she, too, made a choice and proved in court that Vikram was the murderer, putting this case to rest once and for all.
What Does the Ending Really Mean?

In the end, Neha confesses to Sarika that she made the choice that she did because she had to break the toxic cycle that Sarika had started for Kusum’s sake. Because if she, too, had been just another cog in this corrupted wheel, maybe the next generation would’ve continued to look for justice. Plus, Vikram might not have murdered Inaaya, but he was guilty of the fire and for Kamath eventually taking his life. It’s her way of correcting the system. Moving forward, we see her taking on cases of the less privileged, as a way of giving back in an unfair world.
