Strong Girl Nam-soon Episode 16 Preview: The famous hit South Korean drama Strong Woman Do Bong-soon (힘쎈여자 도봉순) spin-off series Strong Girl Nam-soon (힘쎈여자 강남순) of the is directed by Kim Jung-Sik and written by Baek Mi-Kyeong. Starring Lee Yoo-mi, Kim Jung-eun, Kim Hae-sook, Ong Seong-wu and Byeon Woo-seok in the lead roles, the series will follow a young girl named Nam-soon and her immense strength being used for the good. The series is produced by JTBC and is distributed by Netflix.
The series takes up the story of Bong-soon’s sixth cousin, Kang Nam-soon (Lee Yoo-mi) who has similar strength to her cousin. After getting lost in Magnolia, Nam-soon returns to South Korea to find her family. She successfully finds her mother (Kim Jung-eun) and grandmother (Kim Hae-sook) but little does she know, the trio are in for a big treat.
Lee Yoo-mi made it big after her pivotal role in Squid Game (2021). She was last seen in All of Us Are Dead (2022). Kim Jung-eun’s last ventures are Missing: The Other Side (2020-2023) and DNA Mate (since 2022). Kim Hae-sook’s latest work was Revenant (2023). Speaking of Ong Seong-wu, he was last seen in the movie Starlight Falls (2023) while Byeon Woo-seok’s latest project was Soulmate (2023).

Joong-gan will be severely injured and her life will be at stake. Geum-ju will be heartbroken to see her mother in her terrible condition. Shi-o will go on a rampage to finish off everyone around Nam-soon but she will be there to protect them all. Nozh will hunt for Geum-ju and she will handle it. Song Bread’s identity will be revealed. Shi-o might take his own life as all his plans crumble. Hee-sik and Nam-soon will end up marrying.

Geum-ju, determined to seek justice for Hwa-ja, organizes a dignified funeral for her adopted daughter and vows to bring down Shi-o for the harm caused. Simultaneously, Nam-soon realizes that Shi-o has uncovered her identity and braces herself for a confrontation. Seeking help, she informs the police, led by Hee-sik, about Hwa-ja’s murder and the threatening text from Shi-o. In a bold move, Nam-soon challenges Shi-o to face her directly instead of resorting to cowardly acts.
To trace Shi-o’s location, Hee-sik cleverly uses client list names, posing as a Russian mafia member to send a message. Shi-o falls for the ruse, allowing the police to track his phone. Using this information, they uncover Dr. Choi as the mastermind behind the antidote. Nam-soon, utilizing her extraordinary running skills, apprehends Dr. Choi effortlessly.
Meanwhile, Geum-ju uncovers connections between Su-san and Song Bread, suspecting Song Bread’s involvement in a larger conspiracy. Shi-o, discovering Nam-soon’s actions, becomes enraged and orders his assistant to target Nam-soon’s Mongolian mother. Geum-ju confronts Su-san to learn about Song Bread’s whereabouts, leading to a tense situation.
Before getting answers, she receives a distressing video of Nam-soon struggling in a warehouse. Geum-ju rushes to the location Shi-o specified, where he instructs her to consume the drug to save her Mongolian mother. Despite Geum-ju’s efforts to strengthen Nam-soon by drinking water, she remains unresponsive.
In a desperate move, Joong-gan, sensing the gravity of the situation, calls Geum-ju, who decides to undertake a perilous task. With her incredible strength, she lifts a massive Buddha statue, channeling power to both herself and Nam-soon. This act revives Nam-soon, who, upon waking, defuses the ticking bomb by tossing it into the air, ensuring no harm comes to anyone.
