STAYs have run short of words except for when it comes to showering praises as listed in the never-ending Stray Kids LALALALA MV reactions on X (formerly Twitter). The South Korean octet formed by JYP Entertainment made their latest comeback with their 8th Korean (and overall 13th) album, titled Rock-Star, on November 10, 2023, with its focus track music video also dropping on the same day.
Narrating the tale of a supposed Megaverse, the group’s new titular music video features all 8 members – Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N – in quirky pirate get-ups for certain fragments of the video. The LALALALA music video catches the singers go all out in their fictional storyline concept as always, while, of course, dropping a spectacular musical blast that can only ever be delivered by them, and no one else. Stray Kids RockStar album reviews tweeted on the social media platform reflect the fans’ reception of the EP that consists a total of 8 tracks – Megaverse, LALALALA, Blind Spot, Comflex, Cover Me, Leave, Social Path ft Lisa, and LALALALA rock version.
Among the reactions taken from X, one of the tweets had the fans of the group talking about the visual aesthetic of the video: “I love the cool captain compass pirate and rock music concept”. Musically, STAYs also took notice of the lyrical wordplay, but what especially drew them all in was the rock version of the focus track. Metal-heads were especially beyond impressed by this head-banging twist on the song, thus opening up the doors for more people to joining the K-pop group’s fanbase.
It seems that 3RACHA aka Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han’s concoction of rock elements have won over their fans yet again, which happens to be a default practice for the band. The trio participated in the lyric writing process and composing the focus track, and they’ve obviously made an impact, considering that one of their fans tweeted their hearty pride out with the following words: “My stray kids you are amazing this song is beyond what I imagined it’s perfect it’s flawless it’s insane it’s crazy I love it I’m so proud of you”.
