Yet another highly awaited solo debut has climbed the K-pop scene high with the Soojin Agassy album reviews on X (formerly Twitter) taking over the conversation, and the former (G)I-DLE member’s fans reminding us that their love for the South Korean singer/ dancer is here to stay. Releasing on November 8, 2023, the ‘아가씨’ music video marks the skilful return of the ’98 born artist with her first mini album consisting a total of 6 tracks, including the eponymous focus track, Flowering, Sunflower, TyTy, Sunset and bloodredroses.
The Soojin solo album has been received well by netizens, especially with her fans still unable to fathom the fact that she’s in fact back to take over the music scene with her talents. Highly praised as a superb dancer in addition to her singing credits, Seo Soo-jin’s strong comeback has turned into an alluring affair, much like her EP’s titular track sends out the message that she would rather like to define herself through the expressions conveyed by her dancing flair than the cliched approach of love.
With her captivating presence, Soojin has not only won back the colour red, but also music listeners who couldn’t get enough of her first album’s songs. Several X users tweeted out praising words for her, expressing their desire for the first track on her EP, Flowering, to be longer than it was. Many played the song on a loop and were still left wanting more.
Moreover, it seems like her fans have decided to swear by calling her as “mother”, since words are too limiting for them to convey their best of wishes and gratitude to her for coming back to deliver more music even when it seemed nearly impossible. Among the many tweets left by X users on the SNS platform, it was also noted how the Sunflower song has been unanimously loved by a lot of listeners. One user even went on to mention how Sunflower and Sunset made her voice shine.
While each of her fans has found a favourite, and a distinct way of ranking these tracks on the Soojin solo debut EP, all in all, the album has won back the audience. And as some of these fans have affirmed, the “gorgeous” Agassy album has left them feeling things that can’t be spelled out in words. Staying true to the loud voice of the fans, “mother is back”, and in her element indeed. The Soojin Agassy Studio Choom teaser has also been dropped today, which means that the soloist will soon be stepping on the iconic stage to showcase her titular masterpiece.
