In the next episode of Shrinking, we can expect that Jimmy will have to face the consequences of Alice’s newfound liking for Sam. It has already been hinted that the teenage daughter might have developed a crush on Jimmy, and if that is the case, it would lead to a lot of emotional turmoil for him.  Moreover, Jimmy has already been struggling professionally with Sean and Paul, and this situation with Alice and Sam might push him over the edge.

It is possible that Jimmy will react harshly towards Alice, feeling like he is being burdened with more problems. He might lash out at her and question her decisions, leading to a heated argument. On the other hand, he might also take a more mature approach and try to understand her perspective, offering her support in her amateur phase.

In the case of Paul and his daughter,  we can expect that the estranged duo will continue to have some difficulties. Paul has been avoiding the topic of his Parkinson’s disease and it has put a strain on their relationship. In the next episode, it is possible that Paul will finally open up to his daughter, telling her about his condition and how it has affected him. This might bring them closer and help repair their relationship.

On the other hand, Paul also might continue to avoid the topic, leading to more conflicts between him and his daughter a little more isolated and lonely.

As for Jimmy and Liz, it is likely that their relationship will continue to be volatile. Jimmy’s argument with Liz in the last episode might have only been the beginning of their conflicts. They both have strong personalities and it wouldn’t be surprising if they had more disagreements in the future.

Whatever the case may be, the episode will surely resonate with the fans. And provide them with another instalment of witty nuances, garnished with a sense of humour.
