Selfiee Twitter Reactions are coming in as soon as the first shows of the film got over but the reviews are not all in favour. The latest comedy-drama film is directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Dharma Productions, Magic Frames, Prithviraj Productions, Cape of Good Films and Star Studios. It is a Hindi remake of 2019 Malayalam movie Driving Licence that stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
The cast of the remake film includes Akshay Kumar as Superstar Vijay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi as RTO Inspector Om Prakash Aggarwal, Diana Penty as Vijay Kumar’s Wife, Nushrratt Bharuccha as Minty Aggarwal, Om Prakash’s wife, Mahesh Thakur, Fahim Fazli, Tisca Chopra, Abhimanyu Singh, Kusha Kapila, Rahul Dev, Meghna Malik, Paritosh Tripathi as Rinku, Abhishek Chouksey, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Raghav Binani, Varun Sood, Astha Agarwal, and Mrunal Thakur (song appearance).
The story follows Bollywood superstar Vijay Kumar, who needs to obtain a new driving license from RTO officer, Om Prakash Agarwal, a diehard fan of Vijay. A misunderstanding escalates into a feud which is played out in front of the entire country.

In the film, Om Prakash Agarwal is an ardent fan along with his son and when the superstar asks for his driving license on an urgent basis, he readily agrees to deliver it himself. But the situation turns into something else and within a blink of an eye it becomes a national issue. The transformation of an ardent fan to the actor’s presumable ‘nemesis’ and the fight to keep his integrity in front of his family, is to watch out for.
With high hopes for the film, the audience was excited to watch the unique pair of Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi on-screen together. However, the latter actor stood tall against all expectations and even surprised many moviegoers with his acting, the audience couldn’t say the same about the Superstar Vijay Kumar.
Most of the reactions shared that the film goes through a downward spiral instead of getting better in the second half. So much so, many shows are also getting cancelled due to less footfall. The reviews so far have called the film sub-par and not as good as Akshay Kumar’s other ventures. Many think that remakes often don’t work well and that could have been the reason for not getting much attention.
