Scott Pilgrim The Anime Cast: Netflix Brings Back All the Original Actors for the New Animated Series

Hold your breaks, everyone. Netflix just announced Scott Pilgrim The Anime cast, and it is turning out to be awesome. This anime was announced to be in development in January of 2022 and has since then clamoured fan expectations for what the series might entail. The original writer of the comic, Bryan Lee O’Malley, will also be joining the project as the executive producer and co-writer along with BenDavid Grabinski. These two will also serve as co-showrunners of the anime. The show will be animated by Science SARU, and Abel Gongora will join the crew as the director.

Now, for the voices, Netflix managed to get all the original cast members to voice the characters they had played in the film. It includes Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells, Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, Alison Pill as Kim Pine, Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves, Johnny Simmons as Young Neil, Mark Webber as Stephen Stills, Mae Whitman as Roxie, and Ellen Wong as Knives Chau. Additional cast members for this show will be announced soon.

He does not break up with her when he falls in love with Ramona. In order to pursue Ramona, Scott must defeat her seven evil exes. Amidst all this, he is also participating in a competition to win a record deal in order to kickstart his music career.

This film is based on the graphic novel of the name Scott Pilgrim and contains six volumes, all released throughout the early 2000s ending with the last one released in 2010, the same year in which the film was originally released. Fans are incredibly excited to see this cult classic come back in a new fashion. Since the original creator of the graphic novel is joining the crew, it is possible that the project will not end up being a disappointment, as most people expect IP-based projects to be.

However, fans think it is a good sign that Edgar Wright has given his seal of approval for this anime, and if the original cast and stories are back, they are all happy to see them on their Netflix screens soon. Wright has also shared how instrumental the original creator of the comics has been in the process of this project. They have always had AMAs and panels, but there has never been an opportunity to bring the whole cast together like this. Wright has coaxed them all out of their deeply and incredibly tight schedules to work on this project that has brought people joy for years now.
