Romance in the House brings the fascinating, dramatic, and a little comic tale of a father who is trying to reunite with his family after being kicked out for dragging them through serious financial struggles. The story revolves around Byun Moo-jin and his struggle to reunite with his wife Geum Ae-yeon after he returns as a successful man, and also the owner of the villa building they live in.

While his struggle to do the same meets many hurdles that render him even having to seduce his beloved ex-wife, the biggest hurdle standing in front of him is his daughter Mi-rae. Having seen her mother struggle for 11 years since her divorce to raise herself and her brother Hyun-jae, Mi-rae wants nothing more than to be a person her mother can rely on.

Becoming the MD of a big mart, she soon becomes the breadwinner of the family and is not ready to take her father back into the family. Meanwhile, she comes across a security guard who works at the mart- Nam Tae-pyung, who was once on the National Taekwondo team. Mi-rae begins to get closer to him, unaware that his father is the owner of the mart she works at.

What will this chaos lead to and will Mi-rae be able to accept her father back into her family? How will she react to Tae-pyung’s hidden identity?

Episode 1 of the show brings Byun Moo-jin’s many entrepreneurial attempts which he promises by when asking his wife for help. But when things get too hard, Ae-yeon cannot take it anymore and divorces her husband to take care of her children. 11 years later, she children are grown up and her daughter Mi-rae has become someone she can depend on.

However, their life takes a turn when her ex-husband returns as the owner of the building where they reside. With this begins a chaotic journey as her husband tries to re-join his family while her daughter refuses to welcome him back.

Romance in the House Episode 1 Release Date

Romance in the House is set to broadcast on jTBC and will stream worldwide on Netflix every Saturday and Sunday. Episode 1 of the show is set to release on August 10th, 2024, at 10:30 PM KST (7 PM IST).
