Resident Evil is an upcoming sci-fi action series set to be released on Netflix this month. The show is based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name. Created by Andrew Dabb, it is the second adaptation of the franchise after the animated miniseries Infinite Darkness, and the eighth live-action adaptation after the film franchise.
The story of the series will alternate between two timelines, following Jade and Billie Wesker during their days in New Raccoon City where they discover their father and Umbrella Corporation’s dark secrets, and a decade in the future, where Jade tries to survive the end of the world.

Resident Evil Plot/Synopsis
The Official Netflix synopsis of the series reads – Years after a viral outbreak caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker vows to bring down those responsible while fighting to survive against the Infected. It is set in the year Year 2036 – 14 years after the spread of Joy caused so much pain, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and mind-shattering creatures.
In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the sinister Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.
