Rebelde Season 2 was quite the place for controversies, bold moves and classic shocks. 3 Shocking Moments from Rebelde Season 2

Andi’s Drug Overdose

Substance abuse is real, harmful and painful for the one using it and even for the ones around. Giving the show’s most beloved character this story arc emotionally startled us all. Viewers were already taken aback by the Andi-Emilia break up and, initially, the pills Luka was giving Andi to help must have really proved to be good because, yes, she was amazing on stage with Sebas. However, slowly, much like poison they made Andi a living zombie until one day in class her body gave up.

The entire segment was traumatizing and painful, for fans and people who can relate to the situation alike. The makers did pull out some high guns with this subplot and, good for them it worked to make us be more empathetic towards Andi and it helped Andi understand herself more clearly.

Luka’s Fall

Thank god, this series wasn’t a weekly release because it would have been one anxiety-prone ride to wait for what happens next after we see Gus pushing Luka off the terrace. Putting Luka in a situation as critical as dangling between life and death was a tricky subplot to pull because viewers have usually been split about the rich kid’s motivations. Yet the fall might have been the shock we needed to vouch for this underrated character.

Esteban Killing Gus

Esteban’s character development has been annoying but clever. The rags to riches story with the malicious twist to an iconic character might not have sat well with everyone but, it was one helluva bold move to pull. However, viewers did see the closeness Esteban shares with Gus and what the new teacher/music producer’s name promises- fame and money. So, when he had to be the one to take down Gus, it was quite unbelievable. That too for Okane!
