This episode begins, and Doo-joon straightaway tells Hee-won that he has fallen for her. He expects a positive answer from her, but gets an almost negative response from her. After going home, Hee-won thinks about Doo-joon’s proposal, and at the same time she gets very conflicted because she knows how rich and unattainable he is. On the other hand, we see that Hee-won’s mother actually regrets saying bad things to her and wishes to reconnect with her daughter, but can’t because of her pride and embarrassment. At the office, Hee-won and Doo-joon see each other and hide. Not only that, Doo-joon sees that Hee-won is going the extra mile to avoid him and make sure not to come across him.

Though this does not mean that Hee-won is not affected by Doo-joon’s confession, as she seems to be in denial about her own feelings. In this episode, it also becomes clear that Min-wook is actually in love with Hee-won, but he is too afraid to state his feelings to her. Jeong-eum is also trying her level best to destroy the image of Doo-joon’s company as soon as possible. Later, Min-wook finally realises his feelings when he talks about his jealousy with his boss, who gives him the advice to stop Hee-won from getting married to someone else. On the other hand, Doo-joon finally decides to confront Hee-won, who always hides or goes away whenever he comes in front of her.

He tells her that he does not want to pressure her into getting into a relationship, but he just wants to let her know about his true feelings. He also lets her know that he wishes to keep seeing her without her trying to hide or anything. Following this, both of them again get to an intimate position where they almost kiss, but they stop themselves at the very last moment. Everything was going pretty well between them, but suddenly they got hit with an unexpected problem within their work circle.

But this trouble actually became a boon for Doo-joon, as he became even closer to Hee-won. Not only do they do a shoot together, but they also bicker like a proper couple. Towards the end, Jeong-eum tries to needlessly intimidate Doo-joon to traumatise him further. She is salty that he is having a better relationship with his lover and is succeeding in his professional life. Thankfully, Hee-won comes to the rescue and helps Doo-joon calm down.

Positively Yours Episode 5 Review

I like today’s episode because the gradual growth of romance between the leads is very cute. Though the story does not have much depth, you still like the progression of the relationship because of all the heartfelt moments. If you like simple romcom series with an easy-to-understand plot, then this show is for you.
The emotional beats land successfully, making the episode feel warm and comforting rather than intense. It’s the kind of slow-burn dynamic that feels pleasant to watch, even when the narrative elements remain low.
