Pandora Beneath the Paradise (판도라: 조작된 낙원) is a Korean thriller action drama that brings the story of a woman who has to reach the top to protect her family. Directed by Choi Young-hoon, the drama stars Lee Ji-ah, Lee Sang-yoon, Jang Hee-jin, Park Ki-woong, Bong Tae-kyu, and Shim So-young, alongside other cast members.
The show will have 16 episodes and takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:10 PM KST timeslot previously held by Crash Course in Romance. Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 4 has a run time of 66 minutes.

-Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 4 Recap Contains Spoilers-
Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 4 starts with Hae-soo’s past where her mother committed suicide after her father’s death and she too wanted to give up on life after everything that happened. However, Tae-ra saves her life and gives her new hope to continue living.
Back in the present, Hae-soo is unable to believe that Tae-ra is No. 50 but when she sees the latter with Seon-deok, she has no choice but to believe in this fact. Elsewhere, Seon-deok tells Tae-ra that Jang Geum-mo is the one behind Hae-soo’s father’s assassination and should also be the one behind her changed identity.

The next day, Tae-ra continues to wonder what Geum-mo’s motive is behind keeping Hae-soo beside Do-jin when a stone suddenly breaks a window. She rushes out with her husband and sees Hae-soo destroying the flower field she made for her and wonders why she did this.
Jae-hyun tells her to not worry about Hae-soo’s behaviour and giver her some space after which he gets a message that Geum-mo is looking for him. When the two meet, Geum-mo tries to blackmail Jae-hyun with the evidence he has in his hand related to Red’s murder and tries to have Jae-hyun give up on Hatch.
However, Jae-hyun quickly turns the situation and reminds him of what happened in the past when Geum-mo got into a conflict with Hae-soo’s father and later got off the suspect list by marrying Hae-soo to Do-jin. He also tells Geum-mo that he has evidence that can prove his hand behind Hae-soo’s father’s death, after which he leaves.
Elsewhere, Hae-soo breaks into Hanwool Mental hospital and has her fellow reporters distract everyone by trying to break into her informant’s ward while she herself breaks into the hospital’s secret room. However, she finds everything normal and has to now face Seon-deok who is ready to sue the news station.
But Hae-soo is not convinced and warns Seon-deok that she can’t stay hidden for long and to pass on a message to No. 50 that she is aware of her identity. On the other hand, Tae-ra tries to find news related to Geum-mo and the ex-president when her bodyguard Pil-seung takes her to the corner and tells her that someone has been following her.
She finds Geum-mo’s man on her trail and wonders if Geum-mo already has his eyes on her. Later, Pil-seung helps her find the information she needs and promises to not report this to Jae-hyun which makes her bring down the walls she has around him. She then gives him coffee but ends up accidentally spilling it on him; this is when he rushes to the washroom to clean up and we see No. 105 scarred on his chest.
It is revealed that he is none other than No. 50’s brother who was thought to be dead but was saved by Seon-deok and told that his sister had betrayed him to run away on her own. Now, he is someone who is ready to kill No. 50 when given the order because his hatred for her knows no bounds.
Elsewhere, Yoo-tae is being sent off by Seon-deok after what happened during his second encounter with No. 50. Meanwhile, Do-jin and Sung-chan confront Jae-hyun about Red. They ask him if this was a plan to gain sympathy before standing for the elections, but he ensures them that Red has seizures due to anxiety that came from sending him on stage.
He assures them that the smart patch has no problem and that they can move on with the human trials, however, the two are not convinced until Jae-hyun mentions Jang Kyo-jin, Do-jin’s elder brother, for whom they are making the patch. This calms them down as they recall the day of his accident.
Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 4 Ending
Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 4 ends with Hae-soo getting into trouble with the seniors at her station but her friend helps her out of this situation by mentioning that she will be personally interviewing Tae-ra who has been a popular topic recently. Hae-soo is angered by this but is unable to do anything about it.
On the other hand, Tae-ra returns home and meets Jae-hyun’s campaign team when Hae-soo arrives and comments on her situation. This makes Hae-soo realise that something is wrong and she calls Seon-deok who reveals that Hae-soo is aware of her being No. 50.
Later, Hae-soo picks Tae-ra’s daughter from school, but Tae-ra starts to panic when she doesn’t return until late and heads out to find them. Meanwhile, Yu-ra enters Do-jin’s house in order to talk to him but finds Geum-mo standing there and freaks out. Geum-mo slaps Do-jin and tells him to get rid of Yu-ra.
Yu-ra pleads to Do-jin but to no avail, however, this scene is witnessed by Sung-chan who is shocked and angry. Yu-ra then rushes to Sung-chan’s house and finds the file containing his research, but is seen by Sung-chan who is unable to forgive her betrayal. She then panics and begins to run outdoors, when a man covered in a raincoat begins chasing her.
Elsewhere, Tae-ra tries to stop Hae-soo by overtaking her but it doesn’t take time for Hae-soo to counter this every time. Suddenly, their chase comes to a dangerous place when a truck is about to dash into one of the cars.
Meanwhile, Yu-ra is soon captured by the unknown man who chokes her and hangs her on one of a tree.
Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 4 Review
The show just got better and there are so many suspects when it comes to the person who manipulated Tae-ra’s life and everything that is happening. However, the number one suspect is still Jae-hyun as he is definitely a person who has more secrets than anyone here.
Next, it looks like Yo-ra’s murderer is definitely one of the three men and personally, I believe that each one of them holds a chance of being the killer. Jae-hyun, because he is a businessman who cannot let any stain block his path to becoming the president; Do-jin because of obvious reasons and his father; and Sung-chan because of his newly betrayed heart.
However, if there’s someone apart from them then it would be Pil-seung who followed Seon-deok’s orders to kill Yo-ra, or maybe he is in touch with the person manipulating this whole game.
This brings me to Pil-seung who has shocked us all today after being revealed to be Tae-ra’s brother. His story is definitely one that intrigues me and I hope that the siblings are able to come to a common ground soon.
Finally, I also see a truce-like situation happening soon between Tae-ra and Hae-soo because their relationship has gone through a lot and the two share a goal that came from life-changing situations.
Altogether, this was yet another wonderful episode and I am looking forward to what more is to come in this show.
