Oshi No Ko Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

This episode begins with Abiko-sensei attending a stage play recommended by Aqua. After watching it, she realizes the differences between stage plays and manga. At the event, she meets Raida, the man behind the plays. Initially hesitant, Raida asks for her opinion, and upon hearing her positive feedback, he takes the opportunity to share some hard truths.

Raida explains that just as it is challenging for a writer to become a great manga artist overnight, it will be equally difficult for Abiko to become an excellent scriptwriter quickly. He emphasizes that while they will adhere to whatever she writes, she must take full responsibility for the outcome. If the production fails, the blame will fall on her, and as someone responsible for many people’s jobs, Raida wants her to understand the gravity of the situation.

Fortunately, Abiko is mature enough to grasp his point and agrees to collaborate closely with Goa. They conducted a Skype meeting, editing the script live and discussing it. Despite the potential for conflict when two creators work together, their collaboration goes smoothly. Both geniuses in their fields, quickly understand and respect each other’s critiques and preferences. Abiko even admits to becoming a fan of Goa after experiencing his written stage play.

The episode’s second half takes a psychological turn, delving into Aqua’s psyche. During a scene requiring deep emotional performance, Aqua struggles with his acting. The situation worsens when Kana’s acting prompt triggers memories of his deceased mother.
