Oshi No Ko Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

This episode begins with Aqua, Kana, and Akane confirmed to join the stage play of “Tokyo Blade,” a live-action adaptation of a popular action manga set in the Edo period. Although Aqua isn’t the lead, he plays a crucial role as the love interest of Saya Hime (Akane) and Tsurugi (Kana). The episode immediately captivates viewers by starting with the live stage production from the audience’s perspective and then flashing back to the actors’ rehearsals.

In the rehearsal room, the atmosphere is professional, with experienced stage actors at work. Kana, initially underplaying her role, is paired with the play’s star, Taiki. This challenges her to reveal her true talent, not only matching Taiki but nearly surpassing Akari, a known prodigy. Meanwhile, Aqua remains focused on his own unique goal, which is to get close to someone who might be the key to knowing about Ai’s lover.

The episode delves into the technical aspects of the entertainment industry, offering viewers a deeper understanding of the field. Towards the end, we see the author of the manga herself coming to the rehearsal and wanting to see everything unfold. She then makes a very bold request to completely change the script of the stage play.
