No Longer Allowed In Another World Episode 8 Recap

Sensei and his companions journey toward a new town located near the largest tree in Zauberberg, known as the World Tree. Legends say that this tree offers protection to travellers and those who dwell beneath its branches. The town’s residents have long valued their peaceful and solitary way of life, but when Sensei and his team arrive, they find a very different reality.
The once tranquil town is now disturbed by the presence of a lively casino, notorious for its rowdy atmosphere and attracting troublesome crowds. Yet, despite the chaos, the actual residents remain undisturbed. This isn’t due to any goodwill from the casino’s owners, but rather because of the mysterious woman named Esche.

Esche runs a modest bar near the casino and occasionally performs as a dancer. She has taken it upon herself to protect the town, though the villagers see her as a bewitching figure who lures men with her charms. Sensei, too, finds himself drawn to Esche and mesmerized by her graceful dancing, which brings him a rare moment of peace and restful sleep.
Later, we discover she is the one protecting the village from the shadows. Sadly, even after all this, she is berated and kicked out of the village, only to reveal that she is the tree’s spirit, who can finally be free from the greedy villagers.
No Longer Allowed In Another World Episode 9 Review

This time, Sensei and his party are travelling through the desert to reach the Dritten temple, their next destination. But, neither Annette nor Tama has ever taken on desert travelling like this. They are readily exhausted and are completely drained by the scorching sun. Sensei welcomes this new experience because he just wants to die.
But there is another person who is not affected by the heat at all, and it is none other than Nir. Apparently, this never-ending desert is Nir’s homeland, and we even get introduced to the orphanage he is from. The children in the orphanage adore Nir and are in awe of his valiant stories, which are obviously fabricated. This is because Nir trembles even at the site of enemies, but he wishes to protect the children’s faith in him nonetheless.

In this episode, we also saw the appearance of two very interesting characters. One is a boastful and menacing otherworlder who rules the desert lands with terror. He first tries to kill Sensei with his poisonous Scorpio, but Sensei’s poison kills the animal instead. Another interesting character is a mysterious and lanky man who is too kind for his own good. He is someone who drops food to the orphanage kids and doesn’t even take credit for that. Nir forms a very strong bond with him, and this kind older man proves that not every otherworlder is bad.
Other than this, Sensei and his party also deal with the presence of a ferocious werewolf who goes to hunt at night. How they will be able to deal with all these problems is something that you’ll have to find out yourself.
Verdict

Today’s episode was another intriguing one as you finally see a person from our world who genuinely wants to help. He is not evil nor wishes to dominate the new world he has been transferred to. The ending was also something that really highlighted Nir’s character development, and I loved every bit of it.
