Nice to Not Meet You Episode 13 Recap

The episode opens with Jeong-sin refusing to talk to Hyun-jun about her feelings. She also goes back to her office and thinks about Hyun-jun’s anxiety. That is when her boss approaches her, and they have a chat about her relationship troubles, and Jeong-sin unwillingly gets scolded by Hwa-young. On the other hand, when Hyun-jun goes back to the shoot, he sees just how much of a bad situation he is in right now.

His mother refuses to say sorry to Jae-hyung’s mother, and the situation only escalates, causing the shooting to stop entirely. Later, Hwa-young goes to a bar to talk to Hyun-jun and make him aware of how Jeong-sin is conscious of their massive gap in status. She is worried that an actor and a normal journalist can never be together. Thus, to speed things up, Hwa-young tells Hyun-jun to confess his feelings to Jeong-sin all the time. He must reassure her of his feelings and let her know just how much he wants her.

Jeong-sin comes to meet Hwang for some investigative reasons, and that is when Hyun-jun walks in. Because he wanted to spend some time with her, Hyun-jun invites her, but she denies right away. After that, he realises how much Jeong-sin would love to know about the new episodes of his series, which is why he tells her that he can read the script. This obviously stops Jeong-sin from going, and she settles to actually go through the script of an episode that has not been out yet. Here, Hyun-jun right away asks Jeong-sin whether she is avoiding him because she is worried about their different statuses.

After that, we see that at the shoot, Hyun-jun is conflicted that he will have to fall in love onscreen with Se-na. He absolutely detests the idea, but he will have to do this because he had promised Byung-gi in the past. There is also a kissing scene with Se-na, and Hyun-jun tries to avoid it at any cost every time.

Following the shoot, Hyun-jun invites Sun-woo and Hong-shin over. He clearly shows his favour towards Hong-shin, and it becomes apparent that he’s doing this because he wants to impress his sister. Here, they also practise their acting with each other, and he realises that his brother is not really very good at it. Then they go on to drink together, and Hyun-jun actually ends up confessing his love for Jeong-sin in front of everyone.

After getting this information, they all make a plan to call Jeong-sin. At this point, Hyun-jun confesses his love directly to Jeong-sin. Jeong-sin obviously could not say anything to that, and Hyun-jun convinces Jeong-sin to go on 10 dates with him. This kind of development scares Jeong-sin, but she continues talking to Hyun-jun after reaching home.

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 13 Review

The episode remained mostly lighthearted, but it became serious towards the end. We will most likely see some action and some revelations in the next episode. I, however, liked this episode as it is, and now that we have the romance confirmed, we should see more interactions between the leads.
