What happens after Se-gye confesses to Seo-ri?

Se-gye confesses his feelings to Seo-ri in a way that is as if he is doing a favour to her. He becomes very confident about himself and even suggests that Seo-ri is lucky to have his interest. However, Seo-ri makes sure to show him that she is not at all interested in him. This severely bruised Se-gye’s ego, who could not believe that he was getting rejected without even being considered for once. He leaves Seo-ri’s house in a very bad mood. Later, we see that Seo-ri was indeed affected by his confession, and she did have a crush on him.

What does Se-gye do after that?

After getting rejected, he takes his bad mood out on others. He starts to criticise anyone who is having fun, especially those in his office. This created some hilarious situations.

What was Moon-do’s plan?

Moon-do went to talk to his grandfather, where he showcases himself in a very positive light. We also get to know that the matter of succession is at hand. Moon-do realises that his grandpa will leave something for Se-gye, and he is not happy about that. Weirdly enough, he also texts Seo-ri, encouraging her to be in a relationship with Se-gye. Seo-ri obviously does not reply and decides that she will not be sold in this lifetime. Thus, she decides that she will become a wealthy Buddhist nun on a path of enlightenment.

What is Se-gye’s strategy to win Seo-ri over?

Se-gye decides to go on full attack mode and plans to overwhelm Seo-ri with his love. Not only that, but he also takes the approach of a Peacock and tries to dress himself as nicely as possible to attract Seo-ri. He also takes a flashy car to the set where Seo-ri is preparing for her job as an actress. To impress her, he even sends a coffee truck for all the cast and crew members. Then he later tries to take her out, but she again refuses.

Is Seo-ri really done with love?

No, Seo-ri is very much interested in Se-gye, but she is scared of the consequences because of her past experiences. It becomes apparent that she loved the Crown Prince in her previous life, and she was betrayed somehow. Love did not save her, and in this life, she plans to avoid any pitfall at any cost.

She has already fallen for Se-gye, but refuses to acknowledge that because she fears losing her loved ones.

What worked and what did not work?

This episode ended on an absolutely hilarious note. What could have turned into a clichéd CPR scene with the female lead reviving the male lead instead became a wildly funny moment where she mercilessly beats him up just to wake him. The unexpected twist made the entire sequence even more entertaining.

There was nothing in particular I did not like.
