My Royal Nemesis Episode 3 Review: Road To Love Begins

My Royal Nemesis Episode 3 Review: The episode balances romance, comedy, and mystery quite well. The storyline also becomes better, as the bond between the leads continues to grow. Plus, new revelations about Se-gye’s past add more depth to the story.

At the same time, Seo-ri slowly begins finding her own path and confidence.

Who was Se-gye in his past life?

The episode begins on a chaotic note as we see Se-gye being attacked by assassins. Even at night, Se-gye had his mask on in the past for some reason. When someone comes to kill him, he easily manages to subdue the killer. Then he goes outside to track down more assassins, and that is when he sees Seo-ri on top of a roof. They met again, and there was a clear chemistry working between them. Later in the episode, we get to know that Se-gye was the King’s brother. His being with Seo-ri was also not all destiny.

What happens after Seo-ri sees Moon-do?

Seo-ri hugs Se-gye tightly so that Moon-do could not see her face. This scene was absolutely hilarious because Moon-do thought both of them were in a relationship. He also teases Se-gye about it and leaves. After that, Seo-ri pretends as if she has done nothing. Later, Se-gye even gives a lift to Seo-ri. Throughout the drive, Se-gye remains flustered, making him fidgety around Seo-ri.

Why does Moon-do want to destroy Se-gye?

It is very apparent that Moon-do hates Se-gye for some reason. He is trying his level best to destroy Se-gye’s company even though he built it from scratch. Se-gye goes to his office and threatens him about doing shady activities, yet it seemed like Moon-do did not care. Se-gye then reveals how Moon-do has been evil from a very young age. He pretended to care for him, only to bully him later when no one was watching. Most likely, Moon-do was jealous of Se-gye.

Do Se-gye and Seo-ri meet again?

Yes, Se-gye and Seo-ri meet again, and this time, it is obvious that Se-gye is falling for her. He becomes pretty smitten with her unique antics. He starts seeing her face everywhere, signalling that he is clearly interested in her. They even go on a date, where Se-gye cooks food for her.

Does Seo-ri find a goal?

Seo-ri finally realises that she has natural talent as an actress, and she decides to pursue that goal. On the other hand, Se-gye also selected her for his company. Later, while a scuffle happens between Seo-ri and someone else, Se-gye recruits her to be in a new entertainment agency.

Why did the king marry Seo-ri?

It becomes clear from this episode that the king was the one who got Seo-ri and Se-gye closer. Most likely, he later took her away because he wanted to have power over Se-gye.

This episode was again absolutely brilliant with many hilarious scenes. The chemistry between the two leads feels natural and develops at a good pace. Small hints from the past also add some mystery to the story. So far, I’m really enjoying how the story is progressing.
