This is a day to honor our wonderful mothers and spend a day dedicated to the sacrifices that they have made for us.

While Mother’s Day 2025 is making its way to us, we have to talk about some motherhood awesomeness that we have seen on screen on multiple occasions. And what better way than to look back at some of the best motherly figures in our new Korean dramas, who have won our hearts through their personalities! Showing us the many sides of motherhood, we have everything from the savage mother to the sweet mother. With this, let us now take a look at Kdrama Moms who have won our hearts!

Mother’s Day 2025: Kdrama Moms Who Show the Sides of Motherhood!

Love Scout

Motherhood isn’t just about a bond made of blood, it is a bond made out of emotions that make you fall unconditionally in love with another person. So much so that you don’t want any harm on them and just want to protect them, regardless of what it takes. We saw this bond form between Ji-yun and Byeol, who formed a relationship that stole the show in its own way. This is a side of motherhood that is special and only reserved for a select few.

Undercover High School

Moms know how to keep a balance between their motherly self and the cool individual that they have been for most of their lives. Only some situations give us the opportunity to see the cool side of our moms, as can be seen through Su-a’s mother, Cheong-ha, who gave help in a crucial situation. She didn’t just help them but also warned Hae-seong in her subtle way not to mess with her daughter.

When Life Gives You Tangerines

This Kdrama showed us many sides of motherhood; each one special and beautiful in its own way. Be it Ae-sun’s mother, Gwang-rye, Ae-sun herself, Ae-sun’s grandmother, Sang-gil’s wife Park Yeong-ran, or anyone else. They all showed motherhood that was special to them, conveying to the audience that love stays the same, irrespective of how it is shown to the world. Gwang-rye showed us a fiercely protective mother, Ae-sun took us on a journey of motherhood and how it helped her grow. Ae-sun’s grandmother was a mother who never forgot her love for her song. While Yeong-ran showed motherly love that wrapped her stepsons and her daughter in a love that later supported her.

Study Group

Moving on, we have to talk about another awesome mother whose screentime may have been limited, but the effect was unlike any other. The Director of the Korean Taekwondo Association and Ga-min’s mother, Mi-hyeon’s moment was something that left us stunned. The kick that left people flying not only showed how much Ga-min is like his mother, but also showed us a mother who knows how to fight the world for her son.

Way Back Love

Finally, we have the mother whose love was so warming that even the coldness of death couldn’t stop her from spreading warmth to her son. We all cried when Ram-woo gave his mother Jeong-suk his final hug in his grim reaper form. But what filled our hearts with emotions was the way she calls him warm despite knowing that the cold death isn’t even close to the warmth of life. A mother’s heart only knows warmth in their child’s touch, and she showed us this meaning in this very moment.
