Kang-wook Became Yeo-ri’s Biggest Source of Strength

Things were not at all looking good for Yeo-ri, as she was getting rejected left and right. The only person who could help her decided to go against her, and just at that moment, Kang-wook came in to boost Yeo-ri’s confidence. He reassures Yeo-ri that there is still time and that if they try, they can convince someone to help her. Because of Kang-wook, Yeo-ri also managed to get her hopes up and talk to the person she needed to.

Later, they even go on a date where they have a great time together. Here, Kang-wook and Yeo-ri roam around Singapore and shop for their loved ones. This segment and the one that comes later completely solidified their relationship. It also gave us insights into how much Kang-wook respects Yeo-ri’s work and tries to be there for her when she needs him the most.

Min-hwan’s Failure to Remove Yeo-ri Makes Him Even More Dangerous

Finally, the meeting begins where stakeholders battle it out to decide whether they would keep Yeo-ri as the CEO or not. Things become quite tense for Yeo-ri during the voting, and she barely manages to save herself from the pitfall. However, this did not mean everything was resolved for her.

Min-hwan did not take this defeat in a very positive manner. He really thought that he would be able to remove Yeo-ri from her position and she would come to him. As that is not an option anymore, he starts to play extremely offensively. He goes directly to Gye-hee and tells her that he plans to merge Yeo-ri’s company with his. This is a step that Yeo-ri would definitely not accept or want.

Yeo-ri’s Relationship With Kang-wook Faces Its Biggest Test Yet

After Yeo-ri recovers from one problem, she makes way to another one. This time, thanks to Min-hwan, Yeo-ri’s situation is much worse. She will have to deal with that and the fact that Kang-wook’s grandmother found out that she was actually born in the same year as Kang-wook. Yeo-ri is not lucky for Kang-wook in the astrological sense, and that is something that Kang-wook’s grandmother refuses to compromise on.

She becomes extremely paranoid and even goes to Yeo-ri to directly tell her to break up with Kang-wook. Thanks to all these problems, Yeo-ri becomes overwhelmed with emotions, and she actually tells Kang-wook that it would be better for them to just break the engagement.

Final Thoughts

The kind of problems showcased in this episode were definitely not something you didn’t see coming. Kang-wook’s grandmother suddenly creating an obstacle for their relationship felt very melodramatic and didn’t really add anything new to the story. Instead, it went for the obvious cliched twists and turns, and we already know that even if they separate now, they will eventually get back together. Now that Kang-wook and Yeo-ri have finally come together romantically, it feels like the story has taken the same old approach of throwing problems at them in bits and pieces before they ultimately reunite in the final episode.
