Mission Yozakura Family Episode 6 Review: Shion Fights Along With Taiyo

Today’s episode starts with the introduction of yet another interesting character in this already character-heavy anime, Mission Yozakura Family. The episode begins with someone hacking into the elite Yozakura system to get data on Taiyo. This is extremely weird because these data can only be accessed by someone from the family. But still, this situation was controlled by Shion, who quickly mended the data breach and secured their security system again.
However, things get gripping when we see someone obsessively looking over Taiyo’s pictures. Apparently, he got himself a little stalker who is infamous for falling in love with men and then killing them. Now she has her eyes set on Taiyo and can go to great lengths to protect him as well as kill him so that no one else can have him. This segment was funny and the outcome towards the end was pretty unexpected.

This part was not very complicated or out of the box but it still manages to hold your attention and make you laugh. The character introduced here is a funny one and we will definitely see her more often in the later episodes.
The next segment is where Taiyo gets a new mission that he will have to compete with Shion. Here, we finally witness how she actually does her missions without stepping out of her room. As she’s a gamer she converts all the real-life events into her own game and hence she can control everything from the comforts of her house.
Taiyo joins her and they too have an exciting time together fighting the bad guys. For me, this part was not that good and it was pretty underwhelming. For this anime to be more engaging, we must graduate from these standalone segments and go into a serious continued segment. Hopefully, we will soon have a more constructive storyline rather than these short stories.

Verdict
This episode was average and decent. Till now, the anime has not produced something extraordinary, but at the same time, it’s not bad either. It’s a nice watch for those who are looking for something out of the box, but if you want a more creative and complex storyline, I will not suggest this one.
