Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 5 Review: This is a very interesting anime that exceeded my expectations. Here, we have a Shounen anime based on our beloved theme of Power Rangers. Let us see how the 5th episode went.

Go Go Loser Ranger Overview

The manga first began in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on February 3, 2021. I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 5 Review: Hibiki Is A Pacifist

Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 5 Review Hibiki's Closet Has A Secret

This episode again did not disappoint as we were presented with another twist that hardly any one of us expected. Here, the Pink Ranger approaches Suzukiri and asks her and Hibiki to join her for an after-party. Suzukiri openly denies and even taunts Pink by saying she only wants the company of Hibiki, so she should approach him on her own. This is bizarre and it definitely establishes that Hibiki and the pink ranger have some connection.

We are then transported to our foot soldier D who is now trying his best to live as Hibiki amongst other trainee Rangers. But as D is unnecessarily jumpy and not very sound in the head, he goes on and breaks the laptop that Hibiki prepared for him to gain all the information that he needs.

Thus, D had to rush to the repair person and get his laptop repaired, following which he went to meet other Rangers as he obtained the duty to distribute ID tags to them. We see a bunch of trainee ranges, each with their own unique appearance and personality. Some of them are very amiable and helpful while others are extremely volatile and violent.

But the most shocking discovery was the presence of another person in Hibiki’s room. He is hiding a girl in his closet who is going to change the entire scenario from now on. Why is she there and what impact she will bring on the ongoing fight between villains and Rangers is something that we will have to witness in the future.

From this episode, we also get a clear picture of the actual Hibiki’s characteristics. He is a certified Pacifist who really does not like fighting with others. He was infamous for this sort of behaviour and was also preyed on by others who hated his ideology. Being someone who does not like fighting, in a place where fighting is paramount, made Hibiki an enemy to many, and hence, he also got bullied because of this reason. But he still held out till the end and hopefully, his dreams of eternal peace will come true someday.

Verdict

There is another shocking revelation that I have not mentioned yet and I would urge you to go and watch it for yourself. This anime really knows how to make everything interesting and keep everyone guessing. We are five episodes in but we still have no idea how things will go in the future. Plus, there are many interesting characters that are not one-dimensional and have weird and almost bizarre sides to them.
