May It Please the Court (변론을 시작하겠습니다) is a law-drama TV series directed by Kang Min-ku and stars Jung Ryeo-won, Lee Kyu-hyung, Jung Jin-young and Kim Hye-eun, alongside other cast members.

The series is based on the novel Byeonloneul Shijakhagekseubmida by Jung Hye-jin.

The series follows No Chak-hee, a brilliant attorney at a big law firm set to become a partner of her company. However, a difficult case lands her in trouble and she almost loses her job. Set to get her credibility back, she decides to be a public defender and win the trust that she lost back. While there, she has to work with Jwa Shi-baek, a good but hard-headed public defender, whom she constantly butts heads with.

However, when they get a murder case on their hands, they have to work together to get justice for their elderly victims. Will their relationship improve thanks to the case and bring them closer? Will they be able to figure out the perpetrators and bring them to justice?
