MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 56 is hosted by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and joined by Garima Arora as a judge on the show, the seventh instalment of the series has been produced by Endemol Shine India and directed by Neeraj Shetty. The latest episode, titled ‘Double Trouble For the Home Cooks’, that premiered on March 20, 2023, at 9PM IST, brought in two new tests for the remaining top six contestants of the show.
The cooking competition show is a nationwide quest to find the best ‘home cook’ and draws out some of the most brilliant chefs from across India. The judges sample recipes from various cuisines that the contestants prepare in their search for India’s ‘MasterChef’. And after going through many challenges, one will win the grand prize and the titles.
Episode 56 introduces two new challenges to the home cooks as they all take a step closer to the finale trophy. With some new ‘advantages’ being granted to a contestant that allows one of them to shave off a few minutes out of the total time allotted to a fellow home cook, fans of the show have straightaway deemed this to be a cruel twist in the competition.
After the new episode was live streamed on Sony LIV, fans directly took to their Twitter profiles to call out the creative team behind the show’s face for their lack of innovative ideas despite the season nearing its final episode. Moreover, what ticked the viewers off even more is how Chef Ranveer assisted one of the contestants in coming up with an idea for their dish, especially when this is what the cooking show actually tests the home cooks for – their culinary skills as well as their creativity.
Chef Garima’s actions were also reproved by the audience, and it looks like home cook Nayanjyoti was the only one who softened the fans’ hearts after witnessing all these disappointing blows from the new episode
