King the Land (킹더랜드) is a rom-com Kdrama that brings the story of an heir and an employee who works at one of the hotels owned by his family. Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Lim Yoon-a (Yoona), Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.
The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.
The show will have 16 episodes and be broadcasted on jTBC on the Saturday-Sunday slot at 10:30 PM (KST) previously occupied by Doctor Cha. King the Land episode 2 has a run time of 70 minutes.

King the Land Episode 2 Recap
King the Land episode 2 begins with Sa-rang’s embarrassing moment as she faces Gu Won through the transparent wall. The two are flustered by this accident and try to control the situation, with one trying to get her hands on the remote while the other faces the other side.
The situation soon gets under control and Sa-rang waits for Gu Won to leave. However, he has left his phone inside and opens the door to get it when Sa-rang falls on him. The moment soon passes and Sa-rang tries to escape from Gu Won when the latter recognises her.

Putting on her professional smile, Sa-rang hears him out and soon remembers their first meeting when she labelled him a pervert. Now facing Gu Won’s demand for an apology, she apologises for the washroom incident, however, she is hell-bent on being right about the treadmill incident.
He tries to reason with her but she is not ready to listen to him. Adding on to this is her smile which becomes an irritation for Gu Won who warns her to never show up in front of him again. Gu Won brings his resume to Hwa-ran who now asks him for his family registry as part of the rules. While reluctant to follow through with this, Gu Won has no other choice.
Meanwhile, Su-mi approaches Sang-sik and fixes to go to dinner after the inauguration ceremony. Su-mi leaves after this and Gu Won comes out to find out that there is an inauguration ceremony and dinner party waiting for him.
The inauguration soon begins and Gu Won’s entrance shocks Sa-rang as well as Su-mi, both for different reasons. Sa-rang is shocked to find the man she labelled a pervert become her boss while Su-mi is surprised to find that she has been approaching the wrong person. Gu Won is brought forward to give his speech, but the fake smiles in the audience trigger his trauma and he ends his speech in just one line.

Now, it is Sa-rang’s turn to present a bouquet on behalf of the staff to Gu Won. While she tries to hide her face during this, she fails and Gu Won recognises her almost immediately. After the ceremony, Sang-sik informs Gu Won that he will be filming a promo with Sa-rang.
He accepts that and stops Sa-rang from leaving his office with Sang-sik. He then asks her about the treadmill incident and Sa-rang recalls the same for him. However, she soon realises that she had misunderstood Gu Won this whole time. She apologises to him with a smile which is loathed by Gu Won who tells her to stop smiling.
On the other hand, Pyeong-hwa is having a hard day at work but with Ro-woon helping her during her desperate moments, she is able to get through the day. Meanwhile, Sang-sik arrives to take Su-mi to the post-ceremony dinner when the latter reveals her true intentions. Hurt by her behaviour, Sang-sik takes Sa-rang instead.

Sa-rang is fascinated by the sophisticated atmosphere surrounding the party and her outgoing personality brings her a brief spotlight moment. Pleased by her, Gu Il-hun rewards her with the most expensive part of the tuna that is being served at the party. Meanwhile, the competition between Gu Won and Hwa-ran continues even when the former makes it clear that he is not interested.
Sa-rang later takes it home but finds no one who has the time to share it with. Finally, it is her friends who get a part of the tuna while back at ing Hotel, the chairman asks Gu Won to return home. However, with Hwa-ran’s warning that comes right after, Gu Won decides to not return. Elsewhere, Sa-rang reminisces about the time she spent with her mother at the hotel and prepares for another day.
The next day, Sa-rang faces a rude customer when Gu Won arrives and lectures about the way they are supposed to be dealt with. Amidst rebuking her, he reminds her about the upcoming promo event about which Sa-rang has received no updates. Sang-sik arrives and tells her more in detail about the upcoming promo and how she needs to interview Gu Won.

King the Land Episode 2 Ending
Sa-rang is sceptical about the promo but complies with the work and asks Sang-sik for details regarding her role in the promo. Sang-sik is unable to refuse her and ends up complying with her request. Later, Sa-rang has her long-awaited date with Yu-nam but it is not what she saw coming.
A hilarious moment soon occurs when Yu-nam throws the lock with their names on it, instead of the key. However, this soon follows a sad yet frustrating moment for Sa-rang as she witnesses her boyfriend’s behaviour towards her. Elsewhere, Gu Won fails to find any information related to Han Mi-so which leaves him dejected.

The two downcast people share a silent tearful moment together while unaware of each other’s presence. The next day, Gu Won, Sa-rang and Sang-sik make their way to Jeju where the promo is set to be shot. Sa-rang continuously prepares the script handed to her, only for it to be changed right before the shoot.
It is known to be Hwa-ran’s plan.

King the Land Episode 2 Review
Episode 2 brought another hilarious twist in Sa-rang’s relationships while her romance with Gu Won is soon to begin. The episode brought an end to the premiere weekend of the show and has shown us why this is a show that cannot be missed.
From the insanely beautiful cinematography to the amazingly talented cast, the show is really ready to make it big this year.
