Insider is a 2022 Korean Action Thriller which revolves around a Judicial apprentice, Kim Yo-han who goes undercover to work on a mission. The drama is written by Moon Man-se and directed by Min Yeon-hong. It stars Kang Ha-neul, Lee Yoo-young, Ho Sung-tae and Kim Sang-ho in leading roles. The series will have 16 episodes in total. Insider Episode 1 has a runtime of 63 minutes.

Insider Episode 1 begins with Kim Yo-han sitting in a car with many gang members who are escorting him. He thinks of calling Oh Soo-yeon but holds back. Instead, he makes the driver stop the car and goes to a telephone booth. He pretends to call someone and comes out but instead of sitting back inside the car, he runs away and the gangsters start chasing him. He manages to hide from them but not for long.

Going back a year, Yo-han is in a Buddhist temple, gambling his money away. It is an illegal gambling spot, full of cons and Yo-han has gone undercover to expose their activities. He has figured out how the employees at the gambling house have been scamming people by withholding the cards. The police raided the place and some people already knew about it, who left early. Yo-han also gets arrested but gets to leave after a senior prosecutor talks with the police officer.

Yo-han’s father was also a prosecutor and at his memorial service, his friends Prosecutor Noh and Prosecutor Mok visit Yo-han and his grandmother at their home. These prosecutors were the ones who had sent Yo-han, who is still a judicial trainee, on an undercover mission even though it is illegal. Now, they have another mission for him. They want him to go to the Seongju Prison to get video evidence from Lee Tae-kwang. It is up to him to do it or not.

The owner of the gambling house kidnaps Yo-han and tortures him because he blew off his business. He has been asking for money and even goes to his house and threatens to hurt his grandmother. After this incident, Yo-han refuses to do another undercover mission. After the gambling house blew over, many of the prosecutors of the inside circle disappeared and Mok was also attacked. Though he survives, Prosecutor Noh gets murdered.
Insider Episode 1 Ending
The chief of the Financial and Tax Evasion Team, Yoon Byung-wook is behind the disappearances and he calls Mok for a talk. After Noh’s death, Mok pursues Yo-han to go on the mission and Yo-han agrees to do it. He is being sent to prison but Mok is about to turn his back on him. Byung-wook tells Mok that his career will be over when Yo-han’s undercover will be revealed and he goes on his way to meet Yo-han, who is on the way to the prison.

Scared Mok hesitantly deletes Yo-han’s record of the undercover mission in case he tells the truth to Byunk-wook but Yo-han doesn’t open his mouth even when Byung-wook offers to let him out of the prison. While Yo-han believes that Mok is with him on the mission, Mok has given up and Yo-han is now all alone in a prison where he has already created enemies from the gambling house.

Insider Episode 1 is thrilling and suspenseful. The unfaithful world and one decision can make a big impact on the life of a person. The episode holds the viewers until the end to reveal the most thrilling part.
