I Used to be Famous Trailer: Forgotten Star Gets Another Chance to Fame

Netflix has got some really good shows ready for September only making us eager for the month to arrive already. The platform released the trailer for its upcoming musical drama I Used to be Famous and this story is set to melt our hearts. Directed by Eddie Sternberg, the movie stars Ed Skrein, Eoin Macken, Lorraine Ashbourne, alongside other cast members.

I Used to be Famous revolves around the journey of a forgotten pop star who wants to return to his musical life. In his attempt to return, he comes across an autistic drummer who sparks his interest. And just like this the two come together and take away on their journey to find fame.

A sudden jam session followed by an unexpected friendship between the two musicians will be a journey that is not one to miss. The trailer shows the desperation of Vince who wants his previous life back but is unable to find his spark. He continues to work on his solo album but is put down by the people he shows his tunes to.

But not ready to give up, he sets up his equipment in a market and begins to play his tune. However, a young boy sitting next to him starts beating his drumsticks to the tune he is playing. This interests him as the two receive a round of applause from the people around him.

He then convinces Stevie’s mother to collaborate with him and perform a gig. The two head on to practise their performance and head on their first gig. However, after a spectacular performance, Vince gets into a fight with a man while trying to defend Stevie.

This event has Stevie’s mother fearing for her son as she pushes Vince away and this becomes a time for him to change. As Vince sees a new way for himself, his friendship with Stevie only gets stronger as they make beautiful memories with each other.

The movie is set to bring us a beautiful journey between the two musicians with very different yet similar lives as they grab the chance given to them to make their dreams come true.

I Used to be Famous is set to release on September 16, 2022, on Netflix.
