Hunter With a Scalpel Episode 11 Recap

The episode starts with Jo-gyun framing Se-hyun for trying to murder him, after breaking the windows of his store and then creating a scene. The police are called, who are left shocked, but Jung-hyun doubts his story and can’t help but suspect something is amiss. He brings forth his suspicions to his colleagues, who are left confused, but soon the investigation is handed over to the Major Crimes division, and Jung-hyun is asked to work together with them.

Hong Jin-woo accuses him of not being objective after he tries to defend Se-hyun and tells him to step away from the investigation. Sensing that no one will listen to him, Jung-hyun steals the investigation files and makes a run for it. He reaches out to the mental health facility that is listed in Se-hyun’s case file and learns about her past.

Meanwhile, bound and now being taken care of by Se-eun, Se-hyun thinks back to her time with Eun-seo and feels heartbroken for the young girl in front of her, who reminds her of herself. She eventually finds herself outside the truck that night and sees Jo-gyun and Se-eun eating together. She joins them while her colleagues frame her for forging Nam Seung-hyup’s forensic report.

Back at the barbecue, Jo-gyun mentions that he will be getting rid of Se-eun since Se-hyun has come back, and asks her to join him. However, Se-hyun isn’t falling for her father’s tricks and attacks him once again, but he overpowers her and attacks her, possibly cutting her fingers off.

At this point, I just feel bad for Se-hyun. The constant rash decisions are turning out to be not only an eyesore but also just… sad. I guess your father forcing you to get rid of dead bodies will do a number on you, and I am clearly no one to judge, but episode 11 got me emotionally.

I guess watching the series 4 days a week has done a number on me, and I can’t help but feel bad for her. She’s making the stupidest decisions, but she’s trying to fight against her demons and do the right thing. I am curious to know how Jung-hyun will bounce back from the rash decision that he took – what an absolute mess all around!
