The Old Guard 2 Ending Explained
The second part opens with Discord finding Quỳnh stuck in an iron maiden and rescuing her, while Andy and her team are out on a mission, now working with James Copley. They are trying to find Konrad, someone they think is trying to buy a bunch of guns, but, as it turns out, he was just a front. The real buyer is someone else, and they only have a picture of her. Nile immediately recognises her from her dreams but is unable to say much else.
To get to the bottom of this, Andy meets Tuah, whom she recognises as the man in Nile’s dreams, to learn about the mystery woman. He tells her about Discord, the first of their kind, which immediately makes Andy weary of what’s to come.

Who is Discord?
Discord and Tuah were the first of the immortals who witnessed Andy and Quỳnh being tortured years ago. Unable to accept the torture that her fellow kind were going through, she vowed revenge and decided to amass wealth and power so that no one could stop her from exacting her plans. Although Tuah was able to save Andy, they couldn’t save Quỳnh, who was eventually thrown out to sea.
She later tells Nile that she’s the last immortal and that they are connected – both of them have a birthmark on their left arm. They will work together in the future to stop immortal interference in the human world, and although Nile is adamant that she won’t join him, she is intrigued.
What’s the truth behind Andy’s immortality?

Tuah, through his long life and research, reveals to Booker that he knows of a legend that if the last immortal wounds another immortal, the latter’s powers will be taken away. Thus, when, in the first part, Nile had fought and injured Andy, that was the reason she lost her powers. Plus, the wounded immortal can transfer their powers to another before it is lost, willingly. Thus, if any of them choose to become mortal, they can turn Andy immortal once more.
Booker, realising that he has finally found a way to have meaning in his life, gets wounded by Nile and then gives up his powers to Andy, making her immortal once again.
What happens in the end?

Discord lays a trap for the team to fall into by threatening to blow up a nuclear missile that will kill millions. With no other choice, the group arrive and is immediately separated. Joe, Nicky and Tuah are kidnapped using liquid nitrogen, Booker dies trying to protect Andy, Quỳnh loses her powers thanks to Nile and Discord stabs Nile to death. With only Andy remaining, she faces off against Discord, who tells her her grand plan – she has suddenly become a mortal and, thus, she will use Nile to make the others give her their immortality.
After Discord makes a hasty exit, Andy and Quỳnh decide to work together to get their friends back, which is where the film ends.
