Head to Head Trailer: Dark Hilarity Takes Over When a Misfit Duo Picks Up a Retired Crime Lord

Rolling out a new Netflix Saudi movie’s first look, the Head to Head trailer (Ras Bras) promises all kinds of gory and dark hilarity this August. On July 18, 2023, the platform has released a 2-minute long video that teases what befalls two unlikely partners when they’re end up picking up a retired crime lord. The offbeat comedy movie stars Abdulaziz Alshehri, Adel Radwan, Mohammad Alqass and others.

Directed by Malik Nejer and written by Abdulaziz Almuzaini, the new film marks the coming together of the creative again after having worked in the Saudi TV comedy animation series County Masameer. The trailer unveiled today first presents us a look at the business setting of “Sheikhs’ Chauffeur”, where one of the leading actors playing a chauffeur picks up a call and is handed out the responsibility of delivering an old man he picked up at the airport. The mysterious caller directs his next dangerous command of leaving the man at Bathaika, possibly a dreadful location, as gathered from the listener’s reactions.

Still from the trailer.

Eventually the whole thing unfolds as a barter system of kidnappings as the delivery will also confirm the listener’s acquaintance’s safety. Asking for their old man in return of theirs, i.e. a head for a head”, the whole thing takes shape as a dangerous undertaking that can’t assure anyone’s safety, but at the same time, also unravels the hilarity of chaotic misfortunes.

The plot follows a lovesick chauffeur teaming up with a bootleg mechanic, as they accidentally pick up a retired renowned criminal. While planning to exchange him to get their own acquaintance to safety, they end up digging up their own graves, but all in a comical fashion that only further unleashes chaos and mayhem out of their control.

Although the “tyrant may have ended up with two idiots”, they know their way around this tumultuous disarray and make it all into a joke. Concocting plans of their own to exact millions out of this deal, the two embark on a life-altering adventure which could’ve easily been cut short if they’d gone to the police, but their inaction in that department lands them in the middle of bloodthirsty action elsewhere.
