Succession Season 3 Episode 4: The Meeting

Things start to look real for Logan when the FBI decides to pursue their full-fledged raid as Logan stands by and watches. This act of shame picks his brain to think of a new way to have more leverage than Kendall, which is what brings him to shake hands with Greg, who seems to be the only other Roy to see the incriminating papers. However, Kendall has never respected Greg, well, no one really ever has. So, when Logan calls Greg to meet him while he was right in front of Kendall, the ownership fight does not ensue over which side Greg might pick, making Greg feel less confident about his trust in Kendall.

Meanwhile, Tom is a disaster. The man is clearly suffering from the “cancer of the career’ and irrespective of that, Shiv keeps pushing him harder to get jobs done. On the other hand, Shiv herself fails to get the duties of her new fake job right. The irony of this parasitic couple still surviving this season is just pure sad now.

However, the highlight of the episode comes near the end when we get to meet Josh, played by Adrien Brody who holds 4% of the share in the company. When Josh invites both Logan and Kendall to his isolated island to probably have a taste of their mind in an unguarded air, both Roys fail themselves completely. Starring from arriving in personal, private aircraft to sniping and bickering at each other throughout, Josh was not their ‘lock’ as Kendall would like him to be.

But, as Logan’s health deteriorates as we reach the end of the episode, we are compelled to think of his kind and fatherly words about Kendall to Josh and well, maybe, this is the son that can succeed him. But as Roman pointed out in the ending phone call, will there even be a company left to succeed after the next shareholders’ meet?
