Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 7 Review would make you question everything you believed in so far. Let us see how the 7th episode went.
Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 6 Recap
The anime continues to illustrate the complex nature of its characters, showing that they exist in shades of grey rather than being purely good or evil. We find ourselves empathizing with the mistreated villains while also recognizing the harsh actions of the heroes.
The episode focuses on the Rangers preparing for their final exam, which will determine their eligibility to join their respective Squads. D faces the challenge of partnering with his rival, Kai, for this critical test. Their rivalry extends beyond typical competitive banter, rooted in deep ideological differences that make Kai the natural counterpoint to D.

Kai harbours a deep-seated grudge against the villains, driven by a past experience that fuels his desire to see their complete eradication. This intense hatred hints at a traumatic event that motivates his need to defeat a specific villain he holds responsible for. Kai’s antisocial and self-centred demeanour complicates matters further. He believes his status as the top scorer is threatened by working with others, particularly D, leading him to dismiss and belittle his partner during the exam.
However, Kai’s overconfidence is shattered when he faces Shun in a confrontation. Despite his promising potential as a Ranger, Kai is not yet on par with the experienced members of the Ranger squads. His defeat at Shun’s hands serves as a stark reminder of the strength he still lacks.

Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 7 Review And Recap
The first day of the exam is finally over, but the Ranger trainees still feel the exhaustion. We can see how some of the students even go as far as accepting that they can’t pass such a difficult exam as the proctors have no intention of passing them altogether. It is too difficult for them to get the key to pass, as the invigilators are targeting the trainee’s lives rather than making it a simple test.
However, D cannot just give up on his dreams, and he seems pretty optimistic about the whole thing. It’s almost as if he likes his new setting and is looking forward to working with his human companions even though he vehemently disagrees that he cares for them. Things would have stayed normal if we were not introduced to another character who completely changes the setting of the story.

We’re finally at a position where, as a viewer, I cannot wholeheartedly support the villainous army anymore. It is very apparent why humans harboured such hatred for the villainous army, and some of them became deranged or unhinged because of that hostility. The Foot soldiers like D might be innocent or even harmless, but there are boss villains who would not think twice before killing a human for no reason.
The latter half of this episode transports us to the second day of the exam, where we witness a division amongst the Ranger trainees. They all become so desperate that they try each and every method to attain their position, even if it means betraying their own partners. However, the conclusion of this episode will make you worried about what might happen in the next episode.

Verdict
I loved today’s episode as it challenged my views and notions about the characters of this anime. The way our journey began with this story was pretty straightforward, and we were made to root for one while shunning the other. However, that cannot be the case anymore, as we now see why the heroes utilise extreme methods to keep their enemy at bay.
