Friends: 8 Best Matthew Perry aka Chandler Moments

Everyone has their favourite pick of characters when it comes to the most loved sitcom of all time, Friends. However, none can argue that it was Chandler (Matthew Perry) who had the best comebacks and sarcastic one-liners in the show. Even though the actor went through a tumult in his personal life, he managed to entertain his fans and treat them with a laughter riot.

Here are Some of The Best Matthew Perry aka Chandler Moments on Friends

1. Chandler Gets Handcuffed by Rachel’s Boss- Season 4

This moment comes in season 4 when Rachel’s Boss develops a rather keen interest in Mr Bing and his sarcasm. Usually, it was Joey that ended up proclaiming the title of the ladies’ man in the show, but the sarcastic lad had his fair share of flings ( obviously counting Janice). The situational comedy starts in the scene when Rachel catches Chandler red-handed (quite literally) and is forced to keep him in the same position, to avoid any suspicion.

Chandler finds himself in a total mess and decides it will be in everyone’s best interest to not see Rachel’s boss again. However, not before hitting his head with a drawer.

2. Mr Bing gets Nearly Killed-Season 3

Who can forget the time when Mr Bing nearly got killed by his best friend? The close encounter happened in season 3 when Joey decides to become a handyman and take some matters into his own hands. The best roommate ever drills a hole in one of the walls but fails completely to check the number one step. ” Ensure that no one is present on the other side of the wall”.

The drill nearly misses Chandler and wakes him up from his nap. He shockingly confronts Joey who still seemed to be clueless about the drama. At last, the whole incident leaves one thing for certain- never trust a Tribbiani with a drilling machine.

3. The Duo Kicks Out the Crazy Roommate- Season 2

One of the most satisfying moments in the show was kicking out the crazy roommate. The funny guy in the room was stuck with a crazy guy and had almost given up hope for a better roommate. However, it was Joey who arrived at the rescue and tricked the guy using his own confusing memory.

Eventually, the best pair of roommates united once again, for more moments of laughter and weirdness.

4. The Obsession With Richard- Season 2

If there’s one thing that inspired Chandler the most, it was Richard’s machoism and his predominant moustache. Mr Bing literally swooned over Monica’s then-boyfriend, and almost looked up to him as a father-like figure (the age difference was real). To the point, that he actually grew one to impress Richard, and gain his word of appreciation. Moreover, supporting him in the act was his best buddy Joey Tribbiani.

5. Blind date with Janice- Season 1

This moment will go down as the inception point of Chandler’s tryst with ‘Janice’. It was in during season one when Janice met Mr Bing for the first time and fell into a hysterical (quite literally) relationship. Ultimately leading to a back-and-forth fling that followed several seasons later.

The dating scene also captures Mr Bing’s epic reaction to Janice’s laughter, which might still haunt the Sarcasm hero to this day.

6. Chandler Picks Up from the French- Season 5

In their early stages of dating, Mr Bing and Monica took every step to hide their relationship from everyone. However, the more desperately the couple went for the cover-up, the more comical it all became. Suddenly all of them doubted their mutual relationship and guessed what was going on.

However, one of the funniest cover-ups was Chandler becoming the french kiss enthusiast. When the couple unknowingly kissed in front of Rachel and Phoebe, Chandler decides to level up the mistake by repeating the process. Resulting in one of the funniest moments of all time.

7. Chandler contemplating his future- Season 2

During Season 2, Bing started a funny rant after going through several failed relationships. The sarcasm expert concluded that he might end up alone, and best be prepared for it. Which forced him to list out all his fallacies and shortcoming, in just one monologue. Furthermore, Matthew Perry’s acting skills elevate the scene and provide us with some of the funniest improvisations.

8. Bing gets Stuck inside an ATM- Season 1

One of the best Chandler moments has to be him getting stuck inside an ATM Vestibule. The scene takes place in season one when Chandler Bing tries to impress a random woman, and ends up getting stuck inside a vestibule. The whole chain of events is simply a laughter riot, and also a peak moment for the show.
