Flex X Cop Plot

Jin I-soo, born into a third-generation conglomerate, enjoys a life of abundance, devoid of the need for assistance from others. His world takes an unexpected turn when he becomes embroiled in a complex case. Driven by the desire for a new challenge, Jin I-soo makes a surprising decision.

Opting to immerse himself in the gritty world of crime-solving, Jin I-soo joins the Kangha Police Station’s violent investigative team, specialists in apprehending robbers. His motivation is to leverage his wealth and personal connections to make a difference in the field. In this venture, he partners with Detective Lee Gang-hyun, a dedicated and adept investigator known for his smooth-talking skills.

Despite I-soo’s affluent background, Gang-hyun remains indifferent to his presence, setting the stage for a compelling partnership rooted in the pursuit of solving crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice. As they delve into the intricacies of their work, the narrative promises a blend of wealth, intrigue, and the challenges inherent in the world of criminal investigation.

Flex X Cop came dashing with an average 5.7% rating but as soon as the episodes kept caving in, it shot up to 11% making the series one of the highly streamed and recommended. Now that it came to a satisfactory ending, viewers were left with a good and a bad news. To begin with the bad news, the season didn’t give a chance for the viewers to see Kang-hyun and I-soo have some romance as they were completely indulged in their work.

Though we had a brief moment where I-soo gave CPR and Kang-hyun blushed after remembering it, it just didn’t cut it. Whenever I-soo was breaking down Kang-hyun was there but she refused to comfort him emotionally but rather took measures. Which isn’t a bad thing but a simple hug would have done it too. Regardless we have good news about that.

Flex X Cop Season 2 is coming with the same cast and the chances of seeing I-soo and Kang-hyun madly in love is higher. The screenwriter Kim Ba-da confirmed to have started crafting the script and mentioned that the schedules of the actors are being fixed accordingly. If the same cast is returning then there is definitely a good amount of chance that we’ll get to see Kang-hyun and I-soo’s romance as well as Joon-young and Ji-won’s romance.

Will Seung-ju return or will Heeja be present? Might be. Heeja might not take any revenge or so given she regrets her lifestyle that influenced her son but she might heal and be there for I-soo at least now. Mr Choi will remain as the Hansu Group’s chairman and manage its affairs. But as days pass, eventually I-soo will take up the chairman position given Mr Choi is old.

There will be a new emerging villain in season 2 and he might not have any connection with either of the main leads’ past. Seung-ju won’t return to the cast mostly as he has a life sentence. However if the writers wish to bring him back, they might show the side of a criminal trying to live a life with guilt and shame.
