He pays the hacker’s Italian friend to kill him. Then, he gets a call, shocking him. Tae-oh has escaped from prison. This news sends shockwaves through all the members of the Kangoh family, especially In-ah. He threatens the hacker to find Tae-oh immediately but the latter takes over the Italian friend and decides to double-cross Tae-oh as well.
Tae-oh wakes up and finds himself in front of the Chairman, who helped him escape from the prison and out of the hands of In-ah’s plan. Perplexed at his gesture, Tae-oh asks him his real intention, to which the Chairman says that In-ah is planning to divide Kangoh and give half to Sa-jin, which he does not want. Tae-oh confesses that the plan was made by him to make In-ah the owner of Kangoh but the time has changed and now, he will make a better plan to remove In-ah.
Na Hye-won gets kidnapped by Mo Gi-jun and finds herself in a mental asylum, chained to the bed. In-ah confronts her for her transgressions and she does not show any remorse. He says that he feels betrayed by her and by double-crossing him, she has made a grave mistake. He gives her one option – to be his person like Han Tae-oh was. Live and breathe for him, that is the only she can survive, which is why she says yes.
On the other hand, Hui-ju also tries to find Tae-oh and she gets to know that Tae-oh may be hiding in the Chairman’s office. Hui-ju goes to talk to her father but she finds him floating in the bathtub, not breathing and the broken wineglass around him. Shocked at the scene in front of her, she forgets about Tae-oh and goes to save him. The episode ends with Tae-oh remembering a crucial piece of evidence from his fateful night – a video recording on Bo-na’s phone.

In Episode 10, we enter a new scene. In-ah walks into his father’s room as the latter enjoys a glass of wine. In-ah confronts him initially regarding Tae-oh but the Chairman pins a new accusation on him – meeting Sa-jin and trying to break Kangoh Group to pieces. He also announces to In-ah that he will be terminated from his position in the morning and later that day, a press release regarding his dismissal from the family will also be released. Shocked at the drastic steps, In-ah bursts out on him but the Chairman confronts him for the murder of Kang In-ju.
Angered at the quick dismissal, he tries to stop the Chairman but the latter’s heart condition acts up and instead of helping him – he pushes him further into the bathtub. In another scene, Tae-oh finds Prosecutor Ha Myung-jin, who is less than happy to see him. Tae-oh tells him that he isn’t the culprit and the real culprit has been recorded in Bo-na’s phone. Tired of his shenanigans, he arrests Tae-oh and cuffs him to his car. Determined to make his point, he brings Myung-jin to his side who finds the phone as well as the videos. He shows them to Tae-oh who sees that the murderer is Mo Gi-jun but there is another person at the scene – In-ah.
Determined to take him down, Tae-oh goes back to jail and takes the help of his foe-turned-friend to run a paper company called Gold H Investment. With the help of Hye-won and the hacker, they move ahead of Kangoh – alerting the entire Kangoh family. With the help of the Chairman’s trusted lawyer, Tae-oh is also found not guilty of all his crimes and he is let go from jail.
The episode comes to an end as a frustrated In-ah comes into the hospital room of his father. Convinced that he will be thrown out if his father wakes up, In-ah justifies his reason to try and murder the Chairman again. But his plan is foiled as he is confronted by his friend-turned-enemy, Tae-oh.
