Euphoria Season 2 Episode 1 was all about meeting our old characters and being left surprised by some really unexpected plot lines. Written and directed by Sam Levinson, the show stars Zendaya, Angus Cloud, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Javon Walton, Dominic Fike and Maude Apatow. With a runtime of about one hour, the episode tries to introduce the current phase most of our characters are in, with a special focus on an undermined character from season one- Angus Cloud’s Fezco.
We get a look back at where Fezco comes from and what his life has been. The episode also catches us off guard with a cute flirtatious conversation going on between Lexi and Fez. The season premiere also shows us where Cassie stands in her, Nate & Maddy’s off-again in-progress and, Jules & Rue finally coming face to face after we saw them in the Jules special episode. However, the most satisfying and iconic plotline of the episode had to be Nate being smashed headfirst by Fez. With so many exciting things happening, fans have taken over Twitter to react to the epic season premiere.

It will be exciting to see what happens to our characters. HBO Max’s episode ending snippet hinted towards an awkward three-way conversation between Rue, Jules and, Rue’s new friend from the New Year’s party, Elliot. If we are going to explore Zendaya’s Rue’s bisexuality in this season still remains a mystery though. Meanwhile, what will Nate do to exact his revenge on Fez also remains hidden and we can only put a wild guess on our sociopath’s murderous instincts. Cassie’s character development is also going to be something to look forward to.
