Drunken Romance: Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won Lead ENA’s New Romantic Comedy, Cast Revealed

ENA’s highly anticipated new drama, Drunken Romance (literal title), has unveiled its star-studded cast, generating excitement among fans. The romantic comedy will feature popular actors Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won, alongside Shin Do-hyun and Baek Sung-chul. Drunken Romance kdrama (취하는 로맨스) will revolve around the intertwined lives of a dedicated sales representative from a liquor company and a local brewery owner. This drama marks Se-jeong’s second collaboration with the director following their successful partnership on Business Proposal. The plot centres on Chae Yong-joo, portrayed by Sejeong, a seasoned sales champion known for her unmatched passion and dedication to her job.

Having made significant strides in the industry, Chae Yong-joo is tasked with a special mission to safeguard her sales branch, which she has been a part of for six years. Jong-won’s character, Yoon Min-joo, is a talented brewmaster with a unique ability to empathize with others. Living a tranquil life in a rural village, Yoon Min-joo’s world is disrupted when he meets Chae Yong-joo, whose vibrant personality and passion draw him out of his emotional shell.

Adding to the drama’s dynamic is Shin Do-hyun, who will portray Bang Ah-reum, a determined planning team manager with ambitions to rival Chae Yong-joo for control of Yoon Min-joo’s brewery. Bang Ah-reum’s relentless pursuit of recognition and her refusal to accept comparison with others will put her in direct competition with Chae Yong-joo, setting the stage for a riveting clash of wills. Completing the ensemble cast is Baek Sung-chul as Oh Chan-hwi, Chae Yong-joo’s best friend. Oh Chan-hwi is depicted as a free-spirited individual who travels the country in a toast truck, adding an element of whimsy and adventure to the story.

Drunken Romance is poised to offer a refreshing take on the romantic comedy genre, blending heartfelt moments with comedic flair.
