Mode of Murder

While it is known that Cullen made the use of different medications to kill his victims and often called himself a mercy killer. However, he spiked multiple IV bags in the hospital with insulin which were randomly given to patients and caused their death. Among these were patients who were on the road to recovery and on the verge of getting discharged.

On the other hand, he had also made use of a medication called Vecuronium which is a paralytic that causes the patient to lose control of their body, blinking, and even breathing while staying alert. So the patient is unable to breathe while fully alert of what is happening and slowly lets go of their life.

Previously Arrested for Trespassing

There is no doubt that through the documentary and the film The Good Nurse, we know that Cullen had an unstable personality which became one of the many reasons for his deeds. However, murder wasn’t the only crime he committed as he was also once arrested for stalking and harassing a fellow nurse.

He asked the nurse out for dinner after his failed marriage and it didn’t take time for his behaviour to get obsessive towards the nurse. He even broke into her house after which he was arrested, following which he also tried to commit suicide.
