The episode starts with Yong-ju discussing with her teammates Beom, A-reum, Rao, and Chan-hwi about their new beer’s outlook. After the meeting, Yong-ju considers calling Min-ju but decides against it, not wanting to disturb him. Rao asks why Yong-ju is stressed, to which A-reum explains that she and Min-ju are worried about a taste shift that occurs during mass distribution. Apparently, they need to produce 330,000 bottles of beer for their first batch, which puts significant pressure on Min-ju.

At Min-ju’s home, he is seen intensely focused on perfecting the beer production. He hears someone entering his room and is surprised to find Yong-ju. Despite being exhausted, she insists on staying by his side to help. After a conversation, Min-ju realizes that Yong-ju is too tired and urges her to go home. The next day, Yong-ju learns about a production halt and panics. To her dismay, she discovers that Min-ju is the one who stopped it.

Min-ju and Yong-ju head to the meeting room, where he presents two glasses of beer from two different “Together” beer cans. Yong-ju realizes there is a taste shift problem. Min-ju argues that they can’t risk the first production with a taste change, but Yong-ju counters that they’ve already spent millions on the production, which shouldn’t be halted over a slight taste difference. The two have a heated argument and walk away from each other.

Yong-ju eventually understands Min-ju’s point and tries to discuss it with her marketing team head, Tae-jo. However, he yells at her and insists on continuing production despite the issue. One of the planning team members overhears the conversation and reports it to Jang-goon. Jang-goon, taking it personally, devises a plan to sabotage the beer production to get back at Tae-jo. Yong-ju considers texting Min-ju to apologize but hesitates, fearing she’ll make things worse. As she prepares to leave for the day, she spots Min-ju outside, waiting for her since morning to take her out to dinner.

Min-ju takes care of Yong-ju during dinner, noticing every small detail about her, which makes her feel guilty for not being able to care for him the same way. The two share an awkward evening before heading home. Min-ju has a beer with Suk-ja and Yeong-ja, while A-reum visits Yong-ju at her place for drinks. Both Min-ju and Yong-ju vent about their respective situations to their guests, revealing how much they care for each other. The next day, production resumed, and the launch of “Together” beer quickly became a trend, thanks to Jisang Liquor’s reputation.

Despite the success, Yong-ju and Min-ju hesitate to make up with each other. Suk-ja and Yeong-ja visit Yong-ju with food to take care of her, pointing out how pale she looks. They also mention that Min-ju passed away from overworking, leaving Yong-ju upset. She immediately rushes to see him. At Min-ju’s home, the village chief and Mr. Kim try to get him to rest. When Yong-ju arrives, they leave the two alone.

Min-ju immediately fusses over Yong-ju, asking about her well-being. She stops him, stating that she wants to know if he’s okay. She opens up about feeling indebted to him because she struggles to understand his feelings. Min-ju admits that he finds it hard to express himself, as seeing others hurt because of him is too painful. Yong-ju suggests they take a break—a truce—to sort out their feelings. From the next day, Min-ju and Yong-ju act strangely at their homes, frustrating those around them. Yong-ju meditates, confusing A-reum and Chan-hwi, while Min-ju runs laps, leaving Suk-ja and Yeong-ja puzzled.

The two eventually decide to meet strictly for work but end up getting closer instead. Meanwhile, Chan-hwi and A-reum try their best to convince her parents that they even set up a brunch. While Chan-hwi impresses A-reum’s father, he finds it hard to convince her mother. A-reum tells Chan-hwi that they go through with the marriage without their approval since she doesn’t want to see him get insulted. But Chan-hwi promises that he will see her walk down the aisle with her father so that he can proudly take her hand in marriage.

As they sit together at Yong-ju’s place, both receive shocking texts about negative articles targeting their beer quality. They panic. At the company, the manager yells at Tae-jo for not reporting the taste shift. Yong-ju enters the meeting hall and apologizes to the manager, but Jang-goon seizes the opportunity to suggest halting production entirely. Meanwhile, A-reum, Chan-hwi, and Min-ju spotted the employee who had reported the issue to Jang-goon. They learn that Jang-goon orchestrated the online rumours.

A-reum sneaks into Jang-goon’s office, uses her tech skills to unlock his computer, and finds the incriminating article. She prints it out and exposes him during the meeting, shocking everyone. The manager demands Jang-goon resign or face severe consequences. On his way out, Jang-goon pushes Min-ju and yells at him. Min-ju confronts him privately and offers him a word of advice.
