Big Mouth episode 10 opens with Chang-ho waiting for Big Mouse just as Mi-ho realizes that Jerry is not in his hospital bed. As Chang-ho nervously looks back to see who has come to meet him, he is shocked to find Yoon-gab in front of him. He’s quite confused as to what is going on, and the surprise visitor confirms that he is, indeed, the person he is searching for.

He confirms that everything that has happened to him and the other prisoners, all the confusing things, was done by him – that’s the only thing that makes sense, right? Yoon-gab, in return, asks him about Jae-young’s papers and what Chang-ho knows about them. However, Chang-ho brings out The Magician tarot card and refuses to tell him until he proves that he’s Big Mouse.

When Yoon-gab shows him the tattoo, Chang-ho gets the confirmation that he needs – he’s not Big Mouse; the owner would never put a leash on himself. When he gets out of the room, we see that he has recorded the entire interaction, and he’s ready to hurt Big Mouse where it hurts. Meanwhile, Mi-ho converses with Jerry and thanks him for helping Chang-ho.

Meanwhile, Do-ha is watching that documentary on NK Chemicals and pauses on a picture of a family. He’s clearly the little boy in the photo, and in a flashback, we see him as a little kid crying as he watches his grandfather inside a burning car. He looks absolutely heartbroken, but outside, Ji-hoon forces himself inside the theatre to find Do-ha looking rather morose while watching the video.

He mentions that the boy in the video looks like him, and weirdly, he died years ago while playing in a river. Do-ha doesn’t express any emotion about it, just that he too realizes how similar they look. Anyway, Ji-hoon goes back to threatening Do-ha, who is rather cool about these random things that he’s saying.

However, that will need to wait as, soon enough, he gets a call from Chang-ho, who tells him that he will give away important information about Big Mouse in the interrogation the next day. Chang-ho asks him to come as a witness since he doesn’t trust Joong-rak and he agrees, but later, Do-ha looks rather wistful.

Meanwhile, in prison, prisoners are getting addicted to the pills that are being supplied to them since, well, they clearly aren’t supplements. Chang-ho registers this as well and wonders what kind of experiment is being done on them this time while at Gucheon Hospital, Joo-hee and Chae-bong throw threats at one another.

It’s Chang-ho’s time to get interrogated, and while on his way out, Yoon-gab reminds him not to go overboard with the detours that he takes. Chang-ho, in response, tells him to get Big Mouse to meet him; otherwise, he will face problems. In his office, Yoon-gab finds out that Mi-ho has applied to become a nurse at the prison.

As he interviews her and Mi-young and Hee-joo, a fight breaks out outside. Kwang-yeon’s drugs are really getting the best of him, and he has all but killed his cellmate. Even the guards with their tasers aren’t able to subdue him. The last shock of the taser, however, does it, and he falls down and has a cardiac arrest. When the defibrillator doesn’t work, Mi-ho saves him using CPR and earns a spot at the penitentiary.

At Chang-ho’s questioning, it turns out that Do-ha was the one who drugged him at that first moment when things went down. Anyway, Chang-ho tells Do-ha and Joong-rak that he has Yoon-gab’s recording and he’s Big Mouse’s accomplice, and they can learn a lot if they arrest him. He also tells them how they can go about the arrest since the recording is illegally obtained and is not admissible in court.

As Ji-hoon listens in, Chang-ho further mentions that they cannot tell anyone who got them the recording, and as he asks Joong-rak to get an arrest warrant, Do-ha asks Chang-ho whether it’s someone from the prison and, if it is, who he thinks might be the titular criminal. Chang-ho, unfortunately, tells him that he doesn’t have anyone in mind as of now.

Ji-hoon, having heard everything, asks Joong-rak to do as Do-ha tells him. He clearly has something in mind, but we’re yet to know what he knows. Back in prison, Yoon-gab cryptically tells him that the situation has changed and that the collar has turned into shackles.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, the doctor taking care of Kwang-yeon tells Mi-ho and Soo-chul that they didn’t find anything of note in his blood. Although Mi-ho presses him to investigate further, the doctor isn’t very interested, and she decides to take matters into her own hands and take the blood to be tested by someone shady. On the other hand, Chang-ho, still in solitary, learns that his wife is working in the penitentiary and is rather annoyed at the prospect!

Yoon-gab tries to gel with Mi-ho in order to get to know about Chang-ho, but Ms Ko is too smart for him and gives him a taste of his own medicine. However, she finds a friend in No Park who agrees to help her in whichever way he can. Chang-ho, however, isn’t having any of it and threatens Yoon-gab for going after his wife. They get down to playing “21 Questions,” wherein Chang-ho tells the warden that Jae-young’s papers contain the blood of his prisoners.

Chang-ho and Mi-ho finally meet later, and he tells her to quit as soon as possible. The moment he says this, a row of cars makes their way to the prison – Joong-rak has come to arrest a very confused Yoon-gab. As he is being taken away, Mi-ho and Chang-ho keep an eye on everyone to understand who could be Big Mouse.

Afterwards, amid some confused reactions, Chang-ho gets called by the interim warden while Yoon-gab gets to know that his conversation with Chang-ho has been recorded. Joong-rak tells him that Soo-chul recorded it; while at the prison, Chang-ho sits down to drink with Do-ha and Soo-chul, and Do-ha tells him that he won’t trust him until he brings Big Mouse to him.

Big Mouth Episode 10 Ending

Meanwhile, Joo-hee gets into an accident, much like Chang-ho from the first episode. When Do-ha learns of this, he immediately rushes out. Outside the prison, Chang-ho and Mi-ho get to talking about the accident, wherein it turns out that they both knew that Do-ha was involved in this entire conspiracy from Nam Ki-sung’s death, and they have been playing him for some time.

With Do-ha attacked, Big Mouse won’t have a choice but to come to him because Do-ha will retaliate as well. When that happens, they will nab the real suspect.

Big Mouth Episode 10 Review

This awesome plan that our HoHo couple has formulated for Big Mouse is going to crash and burn if Do-ha really is the titular character. Yes, I am aware that we saw him with a lot of stolen money and all that, but he might be working with someone close to him, who knows?

At this point, making assumptions doesn’t even matter because anything can happen at any point. Who knew that Yoon-gab would be going to prison in this episode? Also, Kwang-yeon ripping others’ throats open comes as a shock!

Regardless, I think the episode is arresting and, in the aftermath of yesterday’s explosive episode, is quite happening and engaging. We don’t see enough of Jerry, but that’s ok. Also, now even I want to know what Jae-young’s paper is all about – what drug was this man creating? Or was he trying to stop it, and that’s what killed him?

That ending is so good, though, because it opens us up to the possibilities – who is playing whom?

Check out the series on Disney+ and on MBC.
