Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Overview
Alchemy of Souls season 2 (Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow/ 환혼: 파트2) is the sequel of the Korean historical drama series directed by Park Joon-hwa and starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra and Jo Jae-yoon, alongside other cast members.
The sequel brings the story 3 years after the tragic ending we witnessed in season 1, and with Go Yoon-jung joining the cast as the new female lead. As Jang Uk becomes a hunter of the soul-shifters, a young woman, a prisoner in her own home, seeks his help to reclaim her freedom.
Alchemy of Souls season 2 takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:10 PM KST timeslot previously held by Under the Queen’s Umbrella.

Jang Uk is ready to flip the page and bring in a new chapter in his life as he opens up room for Bu-yeon and tries to become a new person for her. However, Seo Yul’s wish to be by Naksu’s side before she disappears grows while the crown prince wants Jang Uk to leave far from the capital.
As Naksu’s memories slowly come back, Heo Yoon-ok is ready to bring about new troubles for her while Jin Mu is ready to put Bu-yeon’s divine powers to a test.
Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
Alchemy of Souls season 2 episode 7 brings Jang Uk’s race against Ho-kyung, Jin Mu and time as he tries to save Seo Yuk’s life with Bu-yeon’s help and an exchange that will take her away from him. While the two succeed in saving his life, Seo Yul comes across a secret that will once again take Naksu away from him.
Master Lee reveals that this was the real Jin Bu-yeon’s plan to make use of Naksu’s powers and soon awaken her soul while Naksu’s soul disappears.
Meanwhile, Jang Uk feels Bu-yeon’s absence and rushes to find her. He then reveals his longing and the two soon make up.
