Bleach TYBW Part 4 Ending Explained: Is the Hell Arc Finally Coming?

Bleach ended with more questions than answers. Plus, the introduction of several new characters hints that the story might not be over just yet.

What Happens to the Many Captain Positions Which Were Left Empty?

By the time Bleach ended, a majority of the captains ended up dying. This included Captain Unohana and Ukitake. On top of that, the head captain was also dead by this time; thus, many positions were available for new soul reapers to fill in. In such a scenario, we see some unexpected characters who became captains by the end of Bleach.

The current Captain of the First Division is Shunsui Kyōraku, and his Lieutenant is Nanao. We do not see any major change with other divisions apart from the 4th division, where Isane becomes the new Captain, with Kiyone becoming her Vice Captain. On top of that, Iba becomes the new Captain of the 7th division. Lastly, Rukia Kuchiki becomes the Captain of the 13th division.

What Happens to Those Who Are From the Human World?

The characters from the human world also do fairly well. In the anime, we do not get to see what everyone does in detail. However, we see Chad becoming an extremely famous boxer. He was so famous that his match was being telecast, which was being witnessed live by Ichigo and others.

Uryu also becomes a doctor, most likely in his father’s hospital. He also ditches his work just to witness Chad fighting. On the other hand, we see Ichigo having a fairly nice domestic life with Orihime, whom he married and even had a kid.

Will We See a Next Generation Involving Ichigo’s Child?

Ichigo and Orihime have a child called Kazui Kurosaki, and he is a carbon copy of his parents. From the way he walks and talks, it seemed like he was a happy kid. He also appeared to have a fairly good relationship with Hiyori, who called him a brat and even tried to catch him before he ran away. And just like his father, Kazui also seemed to be aware of souls. In one scene, he treated a soul very kindly, just like his father.

What surprised me the most was the fact that he was already a Soul Reaper. On top of that, he was powerful enough to completely erase the last remnant of Yhwach’s soul. Kaui is definitely an oddball, and it is still a mystery as to what we might get with him. I personally would not want a stand-alone series based on his life and would like Tite Kubo to just continue Ichigo’s story. However, if he does plan to release something on Kazui, I just hope it would not be similar to Boruto.

Who Was the Mysterious Character in the Last Scene?

In the final scene, we see a mysterious foot, but its owner remains unknown. However, based on the special one-shot manga that introduced the Bleach Hell Arc, I have a sneaking suspicion that it could belong to none other than Szayelaporro Granz or Ukitake.

I would absolutely love to see Bleach continue with the Hell Arc. Not only would it give us more of this incredible story, but it could also bring back some of the old characters who have already died in the series.
